I'm just a big ol doll beautician lol I've been ordered by madam Angela to sit here and fix Dora's hair at least a dozen times in the past 30 minutes lol apparently there is something rather amusing about me grumbling with a hairbrush over tangles in doll's hair lol I finally got her to take a break from beauty class and we read a lil book together and then she gathered some of her lil Care Bears and tried to read to them, on every page she rambled on pretty good ending each sentence with Care Bear lol it was soo sweet! I'm still trying to find a lil dance class for her, but so far I haven't had any luck :( there used to be classes here years ago, but whatever happened to them is beyond me. I think she would be absolutely adorable in a lil tutu :) she is definitely a "girly girl" where 'Taye is more of a tomboy, and likes cars and boy stuff, but she does love her dolls to, she's just not "prissy" like Angela lol
Greg called from the store a bit ago and oh mercy I'm rather excited now lol he finally!! found me some Chubby Hubby!! I absolutely love that stuff, but we haven't been able to find it here in ages, the only time I've had it lately was when we went to the cabin and stopped off at the Ben & Jerry's store on the strip in Gatlinburg. We had planned to get some when we went up the 23rd, but they were closed both days *sigh* so I'm on cloud nine waiting on my "nummies" as Angela calls them lol

Whew mercy me I'm tired. We just got back from Kentucky and taking the girls to Hidden Hollow to see the Christmas Lights, course the lights stay up down there til like February or so. On the way up to Kentucky 'Taye got sick in the car, just sick not car sick, she had a fever crop up out of nowhere, I finally got her cleaned up enough to get back in the car. We had to try and find a store to get her some new clothes, and we barely found a thin long sleeved shirt to fit her, they didn't have many kids clothes at all *sigh*, all they had close by was a Dollar Store, and that was probably 10 miles or so away from where we had pulled over. When we got her changed and stuff then we went and grabbed some drinks and I gave her a sick pill, she said she felt well enough to head on down to Cookeville, so to stay off the curvey roads that sounded like a good plan. It wasn't as cold down there as I thought it would be, but it was still cold enough to make ya glad when you got back in the car.
The girls were just so fascinated with the live deer and all the other animals, they didn't get real excited over the ostriches tho, course why would they lol those have to be some of the laziest things I've ever seen lol the deer just sat there and let them pet away :) When we were on the lower level all the deer were up at the top and lil Angela yelled out, "Hey you deer! Come down here now!" and bless my soul but the one with the smallest antlers got up and lumbered right down to where we were, now how sweet was that :) then when we took them up to the top, Angela says, "I wanna do sugars", well don't you know the one they were petting turned and tried to kiss her hand, I think it was more like smelling her hand, but to her it was a deer sugar :)
This mommy is heading to bed very soon, carrying my lil sweet pea has got my back really complaining now lolPosted by Aretha @ 09:29 PM CST [Link]

We are home again *sigh* lol I must admit I am getting very spoiled with these little getaways and jacuzzis ;) and hey the really impressive part was even tho the tub looked kinda small it was still plenty big enough for both of us big ol cows to get in there rofl! no tub is ever big enough for Greg because he's so tall but he could stretch out and be comfy and so could I, without all the knees and feet and elbows causing severe damage lol, yeah I know way t.m.i. ;)
I just gotta tell ya'll what he did tho...he comes bouncing up to me looking like a kid with a new toy, and looked so sweet, and then he says...."Wow Dear! our first bellman!" rofl! I guess it's comforting to know simple things can tickle him so lol Needless to say we had a wonderful time, lots of giggles and lots of remembering all the little things thru the years.
Oh, and did I mention we woke up to a little snow in the mountains? It wasn't much, but just enough to make it pretty.
I'll try to post the pics in a day or two, I haven't taken time to get them off the digital and crop them yet.We stopped off at Huck Finn's to grab a bite to eat, between some extra shopping ;) and I laughed so hard I almost choked! Our waitress was a hoot, and well she just got Greg all wound up and he had to start acting up lol She was providing live entertainment for us lol we were the only ones in the smoking section and bless her heart she just couldn't keep from singing along with the radio that was on, it was kinda comical the way she was doing it, guess ya had to be there lol. When we finished eating he looks over at me and waits just until I'm getting a drink (he's trying to get me to spray mountain dew on him I think lol) and in his best "hick" voice (hard to do cause he's a northerner) comes off with, "Well maw, I reckon we's ought to send the young'ins in now and let them have a bite, they oughtta be done changing the oil on that thar wheelbar" rofl I thought I would die! Then the big goober goes on with, "one of these years we's gonna get us a hawse and let ol Bessie the cow have a rest".
I tell ya we may not be the "brightest" pair, but we dang sure know how to laugh and have a good time! Even if we do embarrass each other lol I finally recovered and told the lil dingbat "I can't take you anywhere", well then he looks at me and says, "No, I reckon not, cause I'm the one that's driving"! He got a lil flog under the table for that one lol I tell ya the more years that go by the more I understand why some wife started this kicking hubbys under the table business years ago lolI'm off to start the cooking, and then I'll wrap all the presents later, Greg has gone to get the kids from Pikeville, I picked up Angela, and even tho I'm further behind than I normally would be, I'm still pretty happy and "in a mighty fine mood" lol
Ok...I can tell ya just a lil of what's got me so tickled...I finally!! found something special for a friend that I had been hunting for awhile :) (don't wanna tell too much in case she reads this lol)
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night ;)Posted by Aretha @ 08:46 PM CST [Link]

Oh what a good day today has been! I didn't sleep much last night, only a couple of hours, and then got woke up when his grandparents came to get the kids so I was expecting this to be a real cruddy day, but boy was I wrong! guess that's what I got for doing my own thinking ;)
A little good news, the NYPD Blue 2nd season box set, and more new books finally got here today! I was beginning to wonder if it would ever get here, guess I need more practice at being patient lolGreg has planned a big surprise for me, he wasn't going to tell me, but I have to pack lol He has rented a suite for our anniversary tomorrow! It's a beautiful hotel up in the mountains with gorgeous views and everything to make it a perfect and special day. He won't tell me everything that he's up to, but I know he has something else planned, and I'm so excited I could burst!
I feel like the woman in the commercial where the man is yelling, "I love this woman" and then she starts saying "I Love this man, I love him, I love him.." I of course feel like yelling it loud enough for everyone to hear!
I know enough mushy stuff lolI'm off to finish the laundry and get everything ready for morning. In case I don't get to blog or visit before, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas filled with Love, Happiness and Blessings!!

Only 2 more days and Greg will be on vacation! woohoo! Can ya tell I'm missing my sweetpea? lol Tomorrow night is his last night until like the 5th or so, but the most important part of this vacation is that he will be home on our anniversary! He has always had to work, except the year he had to use family leave when I was so sick, so this year is more special, and since it's our ten years together I'm pretty excited. I know we haven't been married 10 years just yet, but everyone said we'd never make it this far so I admit I'm gloating a little lol
We got sitters all lined up for the kids finally, his grandparents are coming to get the 2 oldest tomorrow and then we are taking Angela to my mom either late tomorrow or Tuesday morning when he gets home, just depends on her mood lol She has a dr.s appt. tomorrow so she isn't sure when she will get home, so I've got to wait on a phone call from her. If she calls too late tho it will have to be Tuesday, at this point anyway, I didn't go pick up my truck yet and I can't drive Greg's truck cause it's a stick, and I despise driving his car, I feel like I'm in a bubble lol not to mention too close to the road, I like to be up above things in my truck lol yeah, it's a short thing lol
1. Is your Christmas shopping complete? If no, how much is left to do?
The only things left to get are the small things, stocking stuffers, the flannel shirts and the poinsettia, at least I *think* that's all that's left lol2. If someone not on your Christmas shopping list buys you a present, do you feel like you have to buy one for them?
Well, sometimes, but this year I think we have covered everyone that *might* get us something3. What is your favorite Christmas special or holiday movie?
oh now this is too hard lol I love all the cartoons, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, Jack Frost and all those, my mind went blank thank goodness or I'd keep ticking off names lol4. Tell us about one of your favorite Christmas memories.
One of my favorite memories is Christmas with Grandma, tho I didn't realize back then just how special those times were. I miss those days more than anything! Another of my top memories tho was the one and only year (about 12 years ago) I spent with my biological dad's family. I have special ones each year tho, when my babies open their presents and see that they got something special they had asked for but were not expecting :)5. Tell us about a holiday mishap. (i.e.: tree falling over, dog eating presents, etc.)
I think it was year before last, this was when I was still pretty ill, I was making peanut butter balls and I somehow managed to dump the entire tray just as soon as I got them all shaped into balls, talk about a mess! on the other hand I'm glad peanut butter likes to stick to itself lolPosted by Aretha @ 08:05 PM CST [Link]

It's a fairly calm and quiet Saturday here in the asylum. Waymond came out this morning and they took my truck to the shop for more brake work. I'm just grateful that he came out to drive Greg's truck, the roads are still pretty cruddy out here in the boonies and there was no way I could even think about driving in this mess. The guys are over here playing video games now and have been for a few hours now, they're getting ready to start an NCAA football game, Bama v. UT lol, let's just hope Greg can win lol Old rivalries die hard, especially this one, we have a real ball during football season, and now that they can play themselves it makes it even funnier. I have literally fallen in the floor laughing at these 2 clowns! rofl guess ya had to be here huh? lol
I have spent the day working on graphics, I had a few customs to get done so I can take a Holiday Break. Well, not that I haven't been on a break anyway lol I just can't seem to get creative lately. I try not to talk about the graphic side here, so I shall shush and move on.
Not a whole lot to tell lately, I've read 3 books this week, and started another one, and have a pretty good chance of finishing that one this weekend lol I've always been a bookworm, but Greg & the kids can't get over how much I've been reading lately lol Guess I'll have to hit another bookstore on Tuesday when we go get the last minute things like the stocking stuffers and flannel shirts. I just hope we can get sitters Tuesday so that we can do something a little special for our anniversary.

Brrr! It's mighty cold here in the frozen south! We have ended up with 3-4 inches of snow, and it's still falling, actually it's falling pretty good right now. Greg just left heading into town to grab some milk and some cold meds and the usual stuff, and supper, what is it with men feeling obligated to drive in winter mess? I begged him to stay home and not bother going anywhere at all since he doesn't have to work, but nooo he just had to get out, I swear he worries me so much! I even took the begging a little further, I cried and everything and he still went! I must be losing my touch or something, he usually doesn't tell me no about anything, but even telling me no with tears? what is up with that! yeah, ok so I'm worse than spoiled and too used to getting my way, but this was way more important to me than other stuff I "whine" about lol ok enough of that mess.
I'm sorry I didn't blog and visit last night, I was pretty sick, I think alot of it was my nerves worrying about Greg driving to work. I drove in the snow last night too so I was even more nervous than usual lol We had a remote start put in Greg's car yesterday and it was snowing pretty good when we went to pick it up, I ended up getting on the interstate to come home instead of staying on the local roads, and let me tell ya it was a much better choice! there were very few folks on the interstate, and that made it alot easier for me anyway, it is so hard for me to drive after dark anyway, never mind how bad it is when it's wet.
I'm just obsessed with driving and roads tonight huh? lol
It's time for Thursday Tattle, yes late again lol Sorry about that Kathleen :)Did you ask for anything special this year?
yep lol I asked for lots of stuff tho ;)Do you think you will receive that particular special thing?
yep :) the biggest thing I will be getting on Dec. 30Who do you know that is the hardest person to buy for?
usually it's Greg, but this year he was pretty easy and his sister was the hard oneWho is the easiest person you know to buy for?
Lil Angela :)What is the worst present you have ever received?
hmm..well aside from the usual stuff that doesn't fit, or that just isn't me, I'd have to say wayyy back years ago someone got me a pair of..are you ready?...polyester pants! rofl!!! and no I didn't wear em! lolWhat is the best present you have ever received?
other than Greg & my babies :) hmm..I'd have to go with my engagement ring (got it on the 23rd)1. List your five favorite beverages.
Water, Mountain Dew, milk shakes, orange juice, strawberry milk2. List your five favorite websites.
my friends sites & graphic sites, ebay, Precious Moments3. List your five favorite snack foods.
cheez-ums, reeses, chubby hubby ice-cream (can't find it here anymore tho), peanut butter balls, cashews4. List your five favorite board and/or card games.
we don't really play games anymore, but we used to like uno, songburst & scrutineyes5. List your five favorite computer and/or game system games.
tetris, crazy taxi 1 & 2, counterstrike, mortal kombat (we like to fight lol)

My Homework is up, the link is right over yonder <-- on the left.
I didn't do the Holiday Howdy because I still have this hideous cold, and the laryngitis is still lingering, but if I can manage to do more than squeak in the next few days, and find the mic I will try to add one here (I didn't forget Andrea lol) I just hope ya'll won't hurt yourselves laughing if I get to post it ;)It's been a long night & day here. Little Angela got sick on me last night so I spent the night rocking and cleaning, poor little thing she had some kind of tummy bug or something going on, she woke up and started throwing up and I still don't know why *sigh* she has spent the day coughing and whining and wanting mommy, but not really wanting anything all at the same time. I've spent alot of time "trying" to rock her, she gives me that look that only she can give and demands, "rocky, mommy, rocky!" but it doesn't last long until she's squirming and wanting night-night, then she spends 30 minutes at the most in her crib and then bam wants mommy again. After Greg went to work she only wanted rocked a few minutes and now she's back to bed, course the big problem now is I can't seem to make her "pee-ow"(pillow) do what she wants it to do lol she's been pretty quiet for about 15 minutes now tho so that's definitely a good sign, maybe I'll get lucky and she will sleep tonight.
They didn't cancel school today! can you believe it? me either lol I really was shocked when I finally found out at 5:45 that everything was running right on schedule, the only thing that they said was that it was driver discretion on like 2 roads wayyyyy out in the boonies on the opposite end of the county.
I'm off to try and rest a bit in case Little Angela has another rough night, if I don't make the rounds tonight I will do my best to do it tomorrow.

Looky here it's snowing!!!! ok so you can't really look lol It came an absolute flood earlier, but I looked out just a bit ago because it was quiet and bam it was literally fogging it down and everything was already white! I really can't get over the weather here, it was in the upper 50's today and now here it is freezing and snowing! ain't no wonder us southern folk are strange, what with all the weather we see down here lol Just as I was sitting here typing this I heard somebody go by on this side road and it sounds like they are already slipping! ugh! good thing I made Greg back my truck up further than normal this morning huh?
I know I've skipped a day or two lately, but well..last night I was in a pretty fair mood and had planned on getting all kinds of things accomplished, but I had an argument with Greg before he left for work, and to be honest when we argue I'm not fit company for man or beast so I figured it would be best if I just went on with the laundry and stayed quiet lol
He did make it up to me today tho, I don't want to jinx myself, but "Good Lord willing, and the creeks don't rise", I'll be getting one of the things I wanted for Christmas on the 30th! (cross them fingers ladies lol)I'm off to work on some more laundry, finish some dishes, and maybe grab a shower then try to get my sorry self on aol tonight so I can do a bit of chatting :) Stay warm ya'll!

I'm sorry I skipped posting last night, it was almost midnight when we got back from yet another day long shopping trip, and I was so tired I couldn't think straight and I wouldn't have had time to get it posted before midnight so I just crashed.
We managed to accomplish alot tho, we got stuff for his sister and her husband and a few more things for his niece, found something for my mom. We still can't find the groom for Chantaye, but I found the most adorable little Care-Bear for Angela, it's a new one, it's pink wearing a little diaper, they have a little blue one too, so that one is next on the list lol
I think Greg & I have got to be about the 2 densest people on Earth! Oh sure we generally blend in pretty well with regular folk, but I think we should be pushed over with the circus folk lol
I think I mentioned that we ordered his mom this really pretty set of plates with a winter scene? well anyway...last night right before we went to sleep (around 2 am actually) he had some sort of a brain surge or something and he ran in here and flicked the computer on, I thought he had just flipped his wig ya know..well anyhow, turns out that when we were at Dillard's yesterday he noticed that a 5 piece place setting meant just that, 5 little pieces..see where I'm going with this? rofl! yep, you're exactly right! we had ordered and shipped 5 lousy little pieces! anyhow...he was really quiet and then he yells out "Well SH**!" that alone got me tickled so I asked what was wrong, he came in there grumbling and mumbling to himself and started digging for his wallet and explained what *we* (I only watched lol) had done! I almost fell outta the bed laughing at him! He has now shipped a second set, so there will be enough for his mom and Dave, somehow he doesn't find this all quite as amusing as I do lol My poor sweetpea was even so embarrassed the note he sent with it mentioned that if he had been smart enough to think and pay attention in the first place we could've sent both boxes together lolI have to get the kids gifts for school wrapped and ready tonight, they are supposed to take them tomorrow, I guess that's so the teachers will know if anyone is being left out. I've got to remember to wrap all the stuff and fix all the cards to go up north too so Greg can get it to the post office or the shipping place tomorrow. I guess we're doing a little better time wise this year, considering half the time we don't mail stuff until the 23rd lol how awful are we? (no please don't answer that lol)
1. Do you have a favorite Christmas carol? If so, what is it and why is it your favorite?
a carol? hmm I kinda like Silent Night, but there are other Christmas songs that are my favorites, but they're not really carols2. What is the one Christmas carol you absolutely can't stand to hear?
I haven't heard many songs in so many years it's hard to remember, but I used to bristle everytime I heard Oh Christmas Tree3. Have you ever went out caroling?
nope, that's not real popular around here for some reason, matter of fact I don't know if it's done at all around here4. If you had to pick a character from Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", which character would you be?
Scrooge! lol that's what Greg is calling me now, "Hey Scrooge, bring me that bag"5. How many Christmas recordings do you own?
oh mercy I don't even know..there are some cassettes in yonder and I've got some cd's over in the cabinet, I'd be afraid to guess but I can tell you I have 2 favorites (1 cd, 1 cassette)

Have I mentioned lately that I hate flu weather? I can't seem to shake this bug or the laryngitis, course I guess the laryngitis is a good thing that way I won't cause anyone to fall outta the chair laughing with a Holiday Howdy.
All the kids are gone for the weekend, so we went out to eat and do even more shopping. I swear as soon as I think we are almost done something else crops up. We finally got Greg something tonight which is good, now we only have to find him an anniversary gift. We finally got something for his grandparents too, we found them a huge set of dishes so the only thing left to get them is the annual poinsettia, IF we can find any decent ones.
The big argument now is what to get me, I have decided I don't want anything for anniversary or Christmas so now I just gotta get everyone to shut up about it and let me be.
I forgot to do my tattle yesterday since I blogged so early so I'm gonna do it now.
Are you feeling stressed?
maybe a littleAre your Christmas cards sent out yet?
nope lolHow many do you send out?
not many at all, maybe 4 or 5 this year is all!Are some of your gifts wrapped yet?
lol nope not a oneTell us something funny that has happened to you while out Christmas shopping?
um..that I didn't hurt anyone yet? rofl seriously nothing really, except Angela seeing everything last weekendTell us something that happened that was not so good while you were out Christmas shopping?
oh this is easy, I've been mowed down at least half a dozen times, and people say they didn't see me, must be something about being short ;)1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
sometimes, but this year I could do without it2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
My perfect one would be way back years ago when I was younger, when Grandma was still alive, and family still meant something.3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
not really, just spend time with Greg & the kids and take the kids out to see lights, and to a lil place called Hidden Hollow4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
yes, we always get gifts for the Angel Tree, and we get gifts for needy families thru the Nissan program5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
something I can't havePosted by Aretha @ 11:54 PM CST [Link]

I got up at 5:30 this morning to find out school was gonna start an hour late, well I reset the clock and laid back down, then the stupid phone rung 1 time, just enough to wake Angela up! (it was my mom, she drives me bonkers!) I never dozed back off, but I got the kids up and then went to check and make sure they hadn't changed the schedule, and bless my silly soul if the idiots hadn't cancelled it all together! Why they couldn't have made their minds up before I got the kids up is beyond me! So here I sit with 2 large attitudes because I got them up for nothing *sigh*
I went out to the trucks to check for hidden cigarettes lol and don't you know I barely got in them! the passenger door on my truck was frozen solid, and I had to have a spasm to get the driver's door open, same thing with Greg's, except it was the passenger door that opened on his. Are you seeing a pattern here? lol
Greg had to go into town to gas up his truck and get me some Mountain Dew, I've already downed a 24 pack this week! I asked him to bring back something to eat, so here we go asking the kids what they want, oh nothing, and asked for stuff in the freezer *sigh* now we all know that when he came back without food they would have tantrums, so after about 15 minutes of going back and forth between them we finally got answers out of them! thank goodness Angela is still easy to please!
I can't believe it's barely after 11:00 and my day has done nothing but gone downhill!I have a few things that are bothering me lately, I keep most things locked inside, but I think this little gift from Lisa, says it all!

It's a yucky night weather wise here, actually the whole week has been messy. It stormed pretty good last night and this morning, high winds and a total downpour! I didn't hear the alarm this morning (I finally dozed off) so I had to drive the kids to school and there were several rather large puddles out here, the main highway (127)was better but it would've been mighty easy to hydroplane out here on the main road.(we're on a side road) When the kids got home there was something falling, but I couldn't tell what, but according to the weather site it was a freezing rain mix, then it turned to snow, and back again, it's done that quite a few times now. I heard there is a chance that we may get some accumulation tonight, tho it wouldn't be much. I do know if the kids miss the bus Greg will have to drive if it does snow lol I mean isn't that one of the number one reasons women get married, to avoid driving in weather? rofl

I am sooo not in a good mood today! I've dozed off for maybe a grand total of 2 hours max since I got up Sunday. *sigh* I just can't seem to win for losing with this stinking bug I've got, either my nose is so stuffy I can't breathe or my nose is running like a water-hose, of course that's when it's not both things at the same time. I've even got the "sneeze-snort" going lol even I admit that is funny, I'm just glad I haven't been in public doing that lol Can you just imagine the looks I'd get with my funky sneeze punctuated by a snort rofl I thought Greg was gonna fall off of the couch laughing at me today.
When I finally managed to just barely get dozed today I got woke up with the dangdest earache! I have almost been in tears with it, I lost all hearing in the right ear, and if I cough, hiccup or even bend over it feels like someone has some kind of drill stuck in there trying to make it thru to the other side.(not that there's anything blocking it from going on out the other side lol)
I may actually have to break down and go to the dr! shocking I know ;) that's like the last thing I want to do, but I don't do well with an earache and well, my right is my "good" ear, so now I really can't hear alot since I already have so much loss in the left.Took me all night to tell that didn't it? I honestly don't know if half of that even makes sense. I swear I'm a hazard to society lol
Anyone have any idea what the deal is with NYPD Blue not being on yet again?!? I hate when they just up and take my shows off, messes up my whole week!
I think I'll drag myself over and watch a lil tv with 'Taye and then head for laundry land again.Posted by Aretha @ 07:25 PM CST [Link]

I've been trying to decide on some new graphics so I can at least redecorate the blog for Christmas, but so far I haven't been able to settle on anything. I've seen quite a few cute sets but nothing has really reached out and grabbed me ya know..I got to thinking maybe I should just use some backgrounds from sets and then make the main image of the family, but I still haven't been able to get Angela's curls just right and that is driving me nuts, and Greg wants me to try to make his hair longer like it really is..maybe I'll just leave it this way so I don't pull myself bald-headed or start banging my head on something lol
I am so sick of this weather I could just scream! It was supposed to get in the 50's today, not sure how high it got tho. I tell ya it's no wonder everyone stays sick..sleet, snow and an all around mess over the weekend and then it warms up to where you can turn the heat down and then bam you get hit with the cruddies. I guess I shouldn't complain too awful much tho since I'm the only one with the cruddies at the moment, it's just annoying when you can't sleep cause you can't breathe.
Oh well, enough of my ramblings, I've got a lil Mimi yelling for mommy :)Posted by Aretha @ 06:40 PM CST [Link]

It has been a terribly long day here, the kids are all in a mood and trying to drive me out of my mind, well what little bit of it that I have left. I tell ya if I didn't know better I'd think they all had childhood pms.
I'm hoping to make it a quiet night and watch a lil tv and do a bit of reading between my shows and then call it an early night, I'm not saying it will work, but there's room for hope right?
I don't have much to post about since it's been one of those days so I'll just do Sunday Brunch right quick so I can get settled for the night.1. How many Christmas parties will you be attending between now and Christmas?
none2. Have you started Christmas shopping yet? If so, have you finished, or when do you expect to finish?
yep, we hope to finish up next weekend, then we can shop for each other3. Who is your favorite person to shop for?

We watched The Santa Clause 2 last night, and it was pretty good. Today we watched Bruce Almighty and we laughed so much that we even got tickled at ourselves for laughing lol Greg went in to town and grabbed a couple more movies, when he got back we played video games for a bit. We are watching Dreamcatcher now, so far it's ok but a bit confusing, then again most Stephen King movies confuse me lol
Oh check out the award I got from Mishay, thank you so much sweetie! you really brighten my days!
I wanted to share a little something I heard today..
"Behind every great man there's a woman rolling her eyes". How true is this ladies? lolWe heard Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck Christmas on the radio and I got so tickled I couldn't even tell Greg what was funny, well when I got myself under control I shared with him how parts of this song sounds a bit like us, so I figured I'd share it with ya'll.
The 12 Redneck Days Of Christmas
Twelve Pack of Bud (make it Miller Lite and I'm there)
Eleven Wrastlin' Tickets(I'll pass, but this is how I pronounce it lol)
Tin of Copenhagen (um..no lol)
Nine Years Probation (not us, but..lol)
Eight Table Dancers (I've had relatives dance on tables before lol)
Seven Packs of Redman (not quite lol)
Six Cans of Spam (yep lol)
Five Flannel Shirts (I always need flannel shirts)
Four Big Mud Tires (pretty close to what I asked for actually, I need me some off-road tires)
Three Shotgun Shells (we can always use them shotgun shells lol)
Two Huntin' Dogs (more like just barking dogs lol)
And Some Parts To A Mustang GT (actually we need some parts but not for a mustang)

I am so glad it's finally Friday! I never went to sleep last night and haven't had any nap at all today and I'm really starting to feel it lol
Greg and I had a blast today! We went and did more shopping! Angela was with us and she saw *almost* everything we got, but she was so cute and funny! I was trying to sneak a Piglet in on her, that was the one thing she asked for last weekend that we never could find, but she saw it hidden under some stuff and went totally nuts until I let her have it..not spoiled at all is she ;) lol Greg keeps asking me reckon where she gets it from lol I'm pleading the fifth and blaming him lol
I found some new snowman slippers and even found some that should fit 'Taye too, she fell in love with the ones I had last year so I just couldn't resist getting them for her. I am so glad she can't get online and read this lol I picked up a couple of new books while we were out and will probably get started on one this weekend, they both sound so good I can hardly wait to finish the one I'm reading.
Greg got me the new Trace Adkins cd too, the first time I heard the song "One hot mama" I actually cried, I know it might sound silly, but the words touched my heart, but the sweetest part was Greg was singing it to me. (this was a day I was feeling kinda cruddy about my weight)
Here is the part that made me cry, just in case you're not familiar with the song"You're doing all you can
To get in them old jeans
You want that body back
You had at 17
Now baby, don't get down
Don't you worry 'bout a thing
cuz the way you're fillin out,
Yeah, Thats alright with me
I don't want the girl you used to be"I heard a lil funny on the radio today and I just have to share it..
A friend had been telling me to drink 8 glasses of water a day that it would be good for my health, and I was doing pretty good with it, and then I heard the body is made up of like 85% water anyway, apparently this friend wasn't concerned with my health at all, he was just trying to drown me!!

10 years ago today Greg & I had our first real date! I can't believe it's been that long! I can't imagine my life without him. I remember everything about that day right down to the clothes we had on lol funny how stuff like that stays in your mind as fresh as if it had been only yesterday.
I'm feeling pretty sentimental today thinking back over the years, there are so many things to laugh and smile about. I'll admit I feel pretty lonesome tonight tho, I wish my sweetpea could be home with me instead of having to go off to work, but hey I've got him for the weekend lolI spent the day quietly and resting for the most part, I was up til roughly 4am waiting to see what the weather was gonna end up doing and to see if school was cancelled or anything, but everything was on schedule here. The only closings I heard about were up in North Carolina, but if what I heard about the weather for tonight is true then we may get a lil snow to go with the freezing rain.
Do you have a fake or real tree?
fake, my allergies don't like real onesDo you use white lights or colored lights?
only blue lights for me :) this year may be different tho if we get a smaller treeWhat do you put on top of your Christmas tree?
an angel :)Do you put a train around your tree?
nope, that would be a disaster waiting to happen lolDo you have all your Christmas shopping done already?
no, almost, but not quite hardly ;)Posted by Aretha @ 06:33 PM CST [Link]

It's official the weather sites are stupid! I just checked and they all say my temps are like in the mid 40's, but it is sleeting! I kept hearing a pinging and wasn't sure exactly what it was doing since I couldn't tell by looking out the window so I went and stuck my hand out the door and talk about getting a stinging I got one! I swear sleet just feels like tiny hail to me. I'll have to stay up later than I planned and see if it keeps this up and then try to find out if it affects the school schedule, oh joy! lol
I haven't really done anything today other than just lay around and be totally useless. What else is new right? I just don't seem to have the energy or the ambition to do much of anything anymore. I need to get in the holiday spirit but I haven't really been a holiday person in years now, but shoot I can't even make myself draw holiday stuff. I've managed to draw maybe 3 or 4 Christmas things and that is all, to tell the truth I don't think I'll be able to do much more than that it's just not in me I don't guess. Just call me Scrooge...Bah Humbug! lol

Another dull and boring day in the wonderful world of me lol
We left for the dentist as soon as Greg got home this morning, and amazingly we found the office without a hitch. Today was pretty simple, all they did was take an x-ray and looked at my teeth and asked me what I want done and then he told me what the plan would be, which teeth he would do what to and which ones he would start with. The next step is finding out how much I have used on dental this year and what my limit is exactly because there are 2 different ones. I should hear something around the 21st at the latest and then we go from there and get as much done before the end of the year as possible. I'm kinda anxious to get to work on everything, but I don't think he realizes I practically need a sedative just to sit in the chair lol boy won't he be surprised when he starts to work ;) lolWe went to Cookeville after we got done at the dentist and stopped off at Sonic for a bite. We found a new video game store so we stopped in and got 3 new games, they are mostly for Greg but I'll have to try and sneak in a little practice so I can play against him lol that's what makes it fun, especially when I can whip the pants off of him rofl
Oh..did ya'll see the snow that hit New York? I was like where did that come from lol I guess alot of folks were saying that tho from the way they were talking on the news. It feels kinda funny that I know what's going on in NY & LA but not here in TN lol but since we don't have local stations on satellite anymore I never know anything unless someone tells me lol
I do know that we are supposed to have sleet and snow starting tomorrow or tomorrow night and running thru like Saturday, makes me mighty glad that Greg turned them down when they were asking for volunteers for Saturday.Posted by Aretha @ 06:40 PM CST [Link]

Woohoo! Check me out, this makes 15 straight posts in a row! lol Can you believe I haven't missed a day? Me either lol
I'm not doing much of anything tonight other than playing games and watching Jack Frost. I probably won't watch too much more of it tho, I'll probably call it a very early night and maybe read just a tad before I go for lights out. I was awake all night last night and only took a few hours nap today so I'm pretty beat.
I have an appointment with another dentist tomorrow, this one is over in Livingston, they had to cancel my last appointment about 30 minutes before we would've left because the dr. was sick so I'm hoping they don't cancel on me tomorrow. One of the guys Greg was riding with for awhile uses this guy and says he's pretty good and he will work with you on the stuff the insurance doesn't cover which is pretty good I think, considering most dentists are under the impression there's a magic money tree somewhere lol
