12/21/2003 Archived Entry: "2 more days"

Only 2 more days and Greg will be on vacation! woohoo! Can ya tell I'm missing my sweetpea? lol Tomorrow night is his last night until like the 5th or so, but the most important part of this vacation is that he will be home on our anniversary! He has always had to work, except the year he had to use family leave when I was so sick, so this year is more special, and since it's our ten years together I'm pretty excited. I know we haven't been married 10 years just yet, but everyone said we'd never make it this far so I admit I'm gloating a little lol

We got sitters all lined up for the kids finally, his grandparents are coming to get the 2 oldest tomorrow and then we are taking Angela to my mom either late tomorrow or Tuesday morning when he gets home, just depends on her mood lol She has a dr.s appt. tomorrow so she isn't sure when she will get home, so I've got to wait on a phone call from her. If she calls too late tho it will have to be Tuesday, at this point anyway, I didn't go pick up my truck yet and I can't drive Greg's truck cause it's a stick, and I despise driving his car, I feel like I'm in a bubble lol not to mention too close to the road, I like to be up above things in my truck lol yeah, it's a short thing lol

Sunday Brunch

1. Is your Christmas shopping complete? If no, how much is left to do?
The only things left to get are the small things, stocking stuffers, the flannel shirts and the poinsettia, at least I *think* that's all that's left lol

2. If someone not on your Christmas shopping list buys you a present, do you feel like you have to buy one for them?
Well, sometimes, but this year I think we have covered everyone that *might* get us something

3. What is your favorite Christmas special or holiday movie?
oh now this is too hard lol I love all the cartoons, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, Jack Frost and all those, my mind went blank thank goodness or I'd keep ticking off names lol

4. Tell us about one of your favorite Christmas memories.
One of my favorite memories is Christmas with Grandma, tho I didn't realize back then just how special those times were. I miss those days more than anything! Another of my top memories tho was the one and only year (about 12 years ago) I spent with my biological dad's family. I have special ones each year tho, when my babies open their presents and see that they got something special they had asked for but were not expecting :)

5. Tell us about a holiday mishap. (i.e.: tree falling over, dog eating presents, etc.)
I think it was year before last, this was when I was still pretty ill, I was making peanut butter balls and I somehow managed to dump the entire tray just as soon as I got them all shaped into balls, talk about a mess! on the other hand I'm glad peanut butter likes to stick to itself lol
