12/24/2003 Archived Entry: "home again"

We are home again *sigh* lol I must admit I am getting very spoiled with these little getaways and jacuzzis ;) and hey the really impressive part was even tho the tub looked kinda small it was still plenty big enough for both of us big ol cows to get in there rofl! no tub is ever big enough for Greg because he's so tall but he could stretch out and be comfy and so could I, without all the knees and feet and elbows causing severe damage lol, yeah I know way t.m.i. ;)
I just gotta tell ya'll what he did tho...he comes bouncing up to me looking like a kid with a new toy, and looked so sweet, and then he says...."Wow Dear! our first bellman!" rofl! I guess it's comforting to know simple things can tickle him so lol Needless to say we had a wonderful time, lots of giggles and lots of remembering all the little things thru the years.
Oh, and did I mention we woke up to a little snow in the mountains? It wasn't much, but just enough to make it pretty.
I'll try to post the pics in a day or two, I haven't taken time to get them off the digital and crop them yet.

We stopped off at Huck Finn's to grab a bite to eat, between some extra shopping ;) and I laughed so hard I almost choked! Our waitress was a hoot, and well she just got Greg all wound up and he had to start acting up lol She was providing live entertainment for us lol we were the only ones in the smoking section and bless her heart she just couldn't keep from singing along with the radio that was on, it was kinda comical the way she was doing it, guess ya had to be there lol. When we finished eating he looks over at me and waits just until I'm getting a drink (he's trying to get me to spray mountain dew on him I think lol) and in his best "hick" voice (hard to do cause he's a northerner) comes off with, "Well maw, I reckon we's ought to send the young'ins in now and let them have a bite, they oughtta be done changing the oil on that thar wheelbar" rofl I thought I would die! Then the big goober goes on with, "one of these years we's gonna get us a hawse and let ol Bessie the cow have a rest".
I tell ya we may not be the "brightest" pair, but we dang sure know how to laugh and have a good time! Even if we do embarrass each other lol I finally recovered and told the lil dingbat "I can't take you anywhere", well then he looks at me and says, "No, I reckon not, cause I'm the one that's driving"! He got a lil flog under the table for that one lol I tell ya the more years that go by the more I understand why some wife started this kicking hubbys under the table business years ago lol

I'm off to start the cooking, and then I'll wrap all the presents later, Greg has gone to get the kids from Pikeville, I picked up Angela, and even tho I'm further behind than I normally would be, I'm still pretty happy and "in a mighty fine mood" lol
Ok...I can tell ya just a lil of what's got me so tickled...I finally!! found something special for a friend that I had been hunting for awhile :) (don't wanna tell too much in case she reads this lol)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night ;)

PS: I saw your tag on Claudia's tagboard and Claudia puter crashed again, so that's why she couldn't get in touch with you the last few weeks. So that you know she hasn't forgotten about you ;o)
