It's official, the people in my town are complete and total idiots! There was no school yesterday which made sense since it was snowing right? Well get this! There was a severe weather advisory posted at 4 am, well some idiot decides about 4:15 that we'll have school today,but start an hour late! Where are they finding these morons? Here's a lil snippet from my weather page..."at 605 am...a mixture of freezing rain and sleet was occurring across much of middle TN...primarily south of Interstate 40. To the east of Interstate 65...Road conditions will begin to worsen after the onset of the precipitation. Motorists should exercise caution as slick spots on many roadways are likely to develop." Everytime they re-update the weather page the forecast is getting worse, somebody tell me WHY in tarnation we are still on a 1 hour late schedule instead of just saying never mind go back to bed? or for folks like me who have been up all night to just "go" to bed lol I'm guessing they don't have enough sense to know there will be lots of ticked off parents if they decide to change their minds after the kids get to school. I swear I really am about sick of the people in this town!
Ok I've ranted enough lol, I'm really in a pretty good mood to have been up since 6am yesterday, with maybe a 2 hour nap max around 3 yesterday afternoon. Not much has been going on here other than putting Angela's clothes back on her every 2 minutes lol. I've worked on some custom adoptions and been trying to get some pages ready to upload for my adopt shoppe, but I'm slow and just haven't been real motivated.
Oh.. 'Taye says so far the teacher hasn't fussed about her pronunciations, poor ol' Greg is really hoping she doesn't 'cause he knows that if I have a talk with her about this I will lay the accent on twice as thick as it is (it's pretty bad anyway lol) he has already volunteered to stay home and watch the other kids for this lol, course ya'll know if she ever reschedules this parent conference I'll have to practice my "hick-speak" before I get there lol I think I may have lost some of ya'll when I complained about her not calling us DeVoe, I had 'Taye before we were married so I gave her my maiden name and tho we have thought about changing it I doubt that I ever would change it, since she got her first name, Girtharee, from my grandma I kinda think it just fits ;) not to mention that DeVoe doesn't really go with her whole name lol

Mornin Ladies! I wanted to squeeze in a quick post before I take 'Taye to school. It's official 'Taye's teacher is just begging to be told off lol She is still not calling us DeVoe, she is marking out the name and re-writing it after 'Taye corrects her (apparently she can't read!) lol Well last night 'Taye was getting ready to do her homework and there's this big long letter to all parents from this air-head. I got so mad I went and read it to Greg while he was in the shower! It started out harmless enough but then here's the part that got me, and I quote.."Be careful with the "southern accent" when helping in phonics. I have some that can't hear the correct phonetic sounds because they have such slang. For example, some students have used the word "thank" instead of "think". The words "won't" and "want" are also confusing." Ok now does it sound like she's just beggin for some southern lessons? I don't know where this bubble-head is from but I beg her to make 1 single comment about the pronunciations that come from this house! This has got to be one of the stupidest notes I have ever seen in my life! I know I went to school back in the stone-ages but they never made an issue out of how words were pronounced, they just tried to keep us from using double-negatives and the word ain't lol which I never out-grew either of those things ;) They had rescheduled parent conferences because of snow, well I sent miss tick-me-off a note and told her if she wanted us to come on Friday to call me and let me know so we could arrange things and be able to make it, well here comes 'Taye home almost 4pm, and there was a note wanting us there at 4:30! 'Taye told her all day you better call or they won't come! well she was right! We had other things planned and couldn't drop it then and go, I tell ya I don't think this woman has "bat's sense" forget being able to read. lol

Brace yourselves...I'm up unbelievably early! I got woke up between 3 and 4 am by terrible thunder and an all out downpour! I'm not real happy about being up this early on a Saturday, but I went to bed at like 4:30 yesterday evening and didn't get up til sometime after 10 lol I figure I'll stumble back to bed after while tho. Yesterday was just another dull day here, I admit I kinda like the dull days tho, it gives me a chance to accomplish things. I managed to do alot of drawing and made several updates at the graphic site which needed done badly. We did the wal-mart thing yesterday morning, he usually does the store thing but I decided we'd all just go to get out of the house.
Do ya'll know that funny lookin monkey guy from Dora? Angela got the guy with the red boots for her birthday and he sings some crazy song and does a little dance well she did that dance all over the house yesterday lol I was in charge of making him sing so she could dance, I swear that crazy looking thing reminds me of a chicken flapping his wings lol she managed to add her own part, I busted cackling watching her, she has added a butt wiggle lol for some reason she can't do a regular wiggle she has to stick her tushy way out and then wiggle. I wish I could've got a shot to post but I was laughing so hard I couldn't even reach for the camera lol When I went to lay down yesterday evening it was Angela's nap time but when I said I was going nite-nite she sat up in her crib and when I laid down she started singing to me if I sat up she stopped lol I think she enjoys being able to see my bed from her room just a lil too much lol. She is being daddy's baby now tho, she demanded he sit in my rocking chair and rock her, they were munching on chips, he tried to give her another and she kept turning her head ignoring him then gave him a small head-butt to get him to stop eating and rub her head lol They're watching Bear in the Big Blue House, I think he's more into it than she is lol.
I'm off to enjoy what lil quiet is left before 'Taye gets up. I will be by tonight to catch up with everyone :) sorry I didn't make it last night.

Why am I up?!?!?! I've been up since before 7am, no naps, nothing and here I sit after 1am. Ever notice when you can't sleep there is zip on tv, but when you can't stay awake everything is on lol I finally got in a lil drawing mood and managed to do a few things, but I'm more proud of the last custom than anything I tinkered with lol the last one is a little bear sleeping on the moon I may just have to adopt it from it's new home and add it here ;) I don't really have any plans for the weekend, tomorrow I get to play chauffeur for Greg lol he's getting his windows tinted and some other stuff, he's been driving me nuts complaining about no tint, course this is after about a year of him nagging me to get mine done...puuuleease lol I have enough things distracting my driving lol I had planned on going to Knoxville this weekend to the bookstores, since I can't find what I'm hunting here, but they say it's gonna be non-stop rain yet again so I imagine I'll stay curled up here watching movies and being lazy. Well I'm off to go curl up with a book and enjoy the peace and quiet that only happens after mid-night lol If I don't drop by today ladies you'll know I finally managed to fall asleep or am spending a little time with Greg now that we're both in better moods, so please forgive me :) Have a wonderful day dears!

My mood is a little better today, tho it still isn't back to normal. I know I shouldn't let things like this bother me but I can't help it. Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like if someone has a problem with me they should come to me with it instead of being rude and cold to one of my friends, when they haven't done anything to "the grump" in the first place. I am not perfect by any means but I don't get mad at A and then go take it out on B, just because B is friends with A. Thanks to my true friends for giving me the support I need!
Now for an update on Angela lol We had to watch Monsters Inc. twice this morning, she's been yelling Boo & Sulley for months now well today she has started saying "owski" lol ya know they really should've made an easier name than Mike Wyzowski lol We worked on our name project too which proved quite comical lol Now this child can say Chantaye, Bradley & Greg DeVoe lol but seems the easier they are the harder she makes them. We were trying Toni first since it would seem the easiest, all I could get out of her was "To(e)" & "eee" lol So I moved on to a few kid's names, well she couldn't get Blake, she tried on Jackson and we ended up with "Son", she wouldn't try Ashton so we tried Faith, I didn't think she'd try since it's her middle name and she thinks she's in trouble when she hears me say it lol, but she tried and by george she got it! lol
I'm sorry I didn't visit last night but I fell asleep a little after 7, but if I stay awake I will definitely visit tonight :)
I'm off to spend some time with Greg, he's over his male pms now so I think it's safe lol

Brace yourselves I am in a mood! Now don't get me wrong I DO love that idiotic hubby of mine and can't stand the thoughts of 1 day without him but he is driving me insane! Remember that old song.."On the fighting side of me"? Well he's smack dab on that side! First off yesterday he gripes and groans about me sleeping late, well excuuuuuse me but there was no school and I didn't go to sleep til like 7 am, then I have to threaten to get a lynch mob to make him take out the trash grrr! He's in a better mood today which is helping to smooth the waters a bit but he just irks me! lol
Now part two of rant fest...No matter how old I get I don't think I will ever understand people. They say they care then turn right around and stab you in the back, and hurt people that have never done anything to them. I know everyone has bad days and such but for pity's sake usually when I'm having "one of those days" I just lapse into my own little world until I'm over it, I don't go around sending rude emails out to people or just flat-out ignoring others. I admit I don't have the best mood around and yes I am a big ol grump alot of the time, but geez just cause you're hateful don't mean you gotta show that side to the rest of the world lol Ain't ya sorry I even started typing? lol
If you're still with me after all that mess I just gotta tell ya lil Angela's latest lol Greg asked what I was doing this morning and I said I'm bloggin, well lil miss Mimi chimes in with "ooohh blogggy" lol I got such a kick out of the way she said it. I'm trying to teach her to say my blog buddies names, I haven't made alot of progress, but she seems to get a real kick out of trying to say them :)

It's official....my weather is crazier than I am! lol The rain stopped sometime in the wee hours Monday morning and then bless my soul if it didn't start sleeting! Then last night we had a sleet/snow mix which cancelled school for today lol In a way it's not funny at all but on the other hand it is getting quite comical lol I needed the extra day off from school tho cause I had to rebuild the site and have finally finished and even got my adopt shoppe open again. I had set today as a deadline to have the new adopts added because I got a special one in memory of Grandma and today would've been her birthday, so needless to say today has been a difficult day for me.
Oh little Angela has yet another new song she's made up for us lol It started out with only 2 words but it's beginning to grow a little, it's just too cute to hear her singing, (she only sings for me lol) The child definitely has rhthym, unlike 'Taye & Bubba who took after Greg and have zero rhthym lol here's a lil of her song.."Happy here....happy here....oh love you...happy here" lol I wish ya'll could hear her sing it, cause it just doesn't sound as cute when I do it lol

I am soooooo sick of this weather I could scream! It has not stopped raining in days! We are beginning to have some serious flood problems here and in several other counties. Greg had to go take my truck yesterday and get like 3 or 4 loads of gravel just so I would have a place to park without my truck sinking into the mud! When I left Friday to take 'Taye to school it was a lil tough to get out cause of the mud, well when I got back home 15- 20 minutes later i slid trying to park so I just threw up my hands and said forget it! They had said our rain would stop at least for awhile on Saturday, yeah right! lol needless to say I am not real thrilled with my weather. I told Greg I thought the snow was melting up north and just running down south lol guess I was wrong he talked to his mom and she said they were sposed to get like 36 inches or better! egad! give me the rain anyday lol
Ok now I've grumbled and griped about my weather..on to my other annoyance lol I was sitting here minding my own business last night trying to draw and I got an adopt request well I took a quick peek at it and it was for one that had been removed from my menu back in January! I am still utterly peeved! This chick didn't provide a URL or anything in this form anyhow, so I hit reply and asked her how she found that adopt since it wasn't listed and she had used the form from that page...no big surprise I still haven't gotten a reply! so I've had to temporarily close my adopt shoppe and I deleted everything, since I have no way of knowing how she managed to nose thru stuff, I've got an i.p. number and I know it's from aol but not sure what else I can do to track this girl down...sad how dense I am huh lolOk now that I've droned on about all that mess..How was everyone's valentine's day? I haven't made many visits yet but I have noticed that a few hubbies didn't get it together and get their sweet wives anything! Now these men need a lil southern "explaining" lol the way I see it ladies, we should get this gaggle of men together and take em out behind my barn and give em some good ol hickory tea lol
My day was just a regular ol day lol I didn't get roses, cause I get mad when they die, and I'd rather be surprised with flowers on a plain ol Wednesday when I would never expect them lol so instead I got some dvds, a couple books and I couldn't resist a huge box of candy (not that i need that) oh and let us not forget my gravel! rofl only in the south will you ever hear gravel called a gift ;)
Ohh! have ya'll seen Sweet Home Alabama? omg! i rolled! I just loved it! I laughed I cried and I got mad, it is definitely a new favorite ;) oh and those accents.......yes that's pretty much how I sound lol

*hums* rain drops keep falling on my head...OR was that a bucket!? lol i am so sick of rain i could scream. it is coming a total flood here. I thought I'd be real swift and grab a shower before I took 'Taye to school this morning and of course the first thing that happened was my darling children got mud all over me! somebody remind me why I got up? lol I hope the rest of the day goes better than the morning has.
Ah so it's lovey-dovey day, why do I feel the sudden urge to say boys have cooties? rofl Yes, I really am an ol softie and a die hard romantic but part of this growling could be because Greg, charmer that he is (not!) lol didn't bother to say diddly squat about valentine's when he called at 6:47 a.m.! I may have to horse-whip him yet lol Omg I really do sound worse than awful in the mornings don't I? shh don't answer that, I can see the nods and hear the yes's echoing lol

Not much excitement going on here, I've been fighting the creeping crud yet again. What is the creeping crud? lol Well it's that point where you would swear you've been run over by a mack truck but can't find any tire tracks on your body and you're so nauseous and dizzy you feel like you've been on a month long bender lol When I have been able to sit up I've been working on my new graphic site now that we have closed the old one. I did manage to make a few visits last night and have a couple more to add to my reads and gotta update some urls but I'm afraid blog-land will have to wait til tomorrow for me, hope ya'll will forgive me! I "think" I have finally won the argument with Bradley and can put him to bed which means I can go back to bed, good ol 'Taye seldom argues with me about bedtime which I am very thankful for tonight since school starts regular time in the morning, yuck! lol

BRR! bah and all that mess lol
We got more snow! Where this mess came from is beyond me, we laid down to take a nap before Greg had to leave for work and when we got up about an hour later it was totally white outside! Greg got a call from his grandparents telling him they were saying to avoid I-40, that's the only way to work! so he calls the guy he was supposed to car-pool with this week and the guy was stuck on the interstate in crash city, he said there were wipe-outs everywhere! He grabbed a quick shower and hit the road leaving me here wishing I had some valiums or a nice stiff drink lol I have been on the edge of my chair! everytime the phone rang I was afraid to answer it, but if it wasn't ringing I was wondering WHY he wasn't calling lol I guess I'm just an ol nervous nellie! They had predicted only about an inch or so right? humph! now they are up to 3-5 inches and who knows what it will be later. Bet ya'll wish I'd find somethin else to ramble on about besides my weather and worryin sick about my lil mushy huh? lol sorry ladies, I just can't seem to help myself.
I had planned on a nice average entry about yesterday with the birthday stuff so let's see if I can try to remember some of it now lol
After we picked Bradley up from Greg's grandparent's we went on down to Chattanooga to CiCi's pizza, nothing real special but it was a giggle fest lol Bradley was asleep when we got there and when we got him out of the car he was staggering like a mini- drunk, it even cracked him up that he couldn't stand up lol then we're sitting there eating nice and calm right? well Miss Mimi decides she needs to provide some entertainment so she starts yelling "Hey Baddeeeyy! Top it! you eat eat!" lol then she decides to turn the table into a drum set using her pizza for sticks lol poor ol Bradley got so tickled he almost fell out of his chair laughing at her which got us laughing even harder, I dang near choked to death laughing at my lil nuts ;) lol
Everyone in the back was beginning to doze off so we rode down to Georgia just for the heck of it, Greg decides he needs an antacid, I didn't know he had any but he did, so I'm sitting here reading the label and I can't remember exactly what it said but something to the effect of fizzing, well he needs a drink of coke now to get rid of the taste right? yep you guessed it! caused a major fizz reaction! rofl he's over here bubbling over asking me what on earth is happening? wtf is wrong with me rofl! I could have croaked on the spot! I laughed so hard I almost sprayed him with mountain dew lol so we get home and all the kids are asleep and he's getting Bradley's presents out of the box and put together (more like playing with the toys lol) anyhow he needs super glue right? ok so he finally finds it next thing I know he's squawking about Help I've got glue on me! lol he had his hand half glued together rofl how he did this is beyond me! of course I don't wear nail polish so I can't find any remover in the house lol poor ol geezer he ended up having to use tweezers to pull the glue off a lil at a time. I think it's safe to say Saturday's are just not made for Greg lol
I think I best hush up now, there's lots more stuff I could tell about yesterday, but let's just say I haven't laughed that much in a very long time! and I still get the giggles thinking about some of it lol but I don't want to bore ya'll too much ;)
I'm gonna try to get all my visits in tonight, but if I don't please overlook me, I'm trying to build another site, and I'm kinda on a limited time-frame

What a nice uneventful day! They cancelled school last night and it didn't even start snowing til sometime today lol there's no school again tomorrow tho which just suits my mood, I'm just not in the mood to have to get up early and go freeze ;) We didn't do anything at all today other than sleep, I think the girls were pretty content with that idea lol Bradley is with Greg's grandparents which is pretty good since he doesn't like naps unless he's been away from home lol I do miss my lil man tho it's just so quiet without him..today is his birthday he turned 6! *sob...sniffle...snort..* seems like only yesterday he was in the picu in the incubator with them telling us he might never come home, he is definitely my lil fighter and like me loves proving people wrong :) We will do the birthday stuff this weekend, tho I have no clue what to get the child lol these birthdays are too close to Christmas so it makes it dang near impossible to know what to get since they got what they wanted then lol
Well I'm off to work on a couple of custom orders, I'll try to sneak by a bit later tonight ladies :)
OH!!! Everyone say a prayer for Andrea's lil Blake that he will get better soon!!!

We got 'Taye all situated in the new school now, she wasn't too happy with it on Monday but since she got to ride the bus home she was pretty excited lol she had never rode a bus except on field trips so it was a little adventure :) This morning was alot better than usual too, I can let the kids sleep an hour longer which makes everyone be in a better mood, they all take after me and are not morning people lol She seems to like her new teacher pretty well, we're not sure she's real bright tho, she's still getting our names wrong lol I had Chantaye before we got married so she has my maiden name and apparently this new teacher forgot how to read all the info provided so for now we are not the DeVoe's lol
We did the truancy court thing yesterday morning and best I could tell every child there was from 'Taye's old school except one! I could've fell over, looks like the pin-heads are on a roll this year lol
They are predicting more snow again, part of me wants it to snow to see if it will help break this block I've hit with drawing but then I have to worry 'bout Greg too..picky ol hag aint I? lol
Well I've hit a writing block now too, see I told ya'll my life was so dull it might make ya'll nod off ;)
I'll make all my visits tonight after everyone has gone to bed and I can concentrate lol Oh! before I forget again... I do try to make my visits at least 3 times a week, but I have been forgetting to tag alot too, so please forgive me for being such a ding-bat! What a week! They say there's no rest for the weary, well I believe it! We got a letter the other day from the school they have filed a thing with the truancy court! can you believe this crap?! all because she has been sick so much this year! Greg called the truant officer and he said your child is 8 years old, you know where she is so I don't care..in so many words this is one of the most idiotic filings he has ever seen! He said to call the school and tell them he doesn't agree with them and they should work with us since we always send a note and she never misses unless she's sick, so Greg did and the morons said they don't care,they have filed and will follow up on all of it! I won't put here what I have said to and about these complete and total morons! We are transferring her effective Monday to the school that's roughly 10 minutes from home, but because of these dingbats we will have to have a drs note if we are even 5 minutes late! I'm sure ya'll can just imagine how ill I am, my temper hasn't been this hot in a very long time, and I doubt I'll cool down anytime soon lol ok on to other things...
Don't ya just love this new set by Irene? As soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them :) I will probably end up using them for more than just valentine's day, they just "fit" me and Greg to a "T", and for once he's not taller than me ;) lol

My baby turned 2 on Tuesday! Yes, I really have cried because she's growing up so fast, it seems like just yesterday I was yelling at the dr to hurry up and get in his lil scrubs and for Greg to shut up he was NOT helping lol She has been such a doll tho, she's been singing to me all week and now I've got her going around yelling 2, course when she holds up her fingers she does 1 on each hand lol but that only makes it sweeter to me :) She was eating her ice cream tonight, well last night lol, and kept going so fast she got a freeze-ache,it didn't stop her tho she thought it was funny, she had a lil giggle fest and then was ready to do it again lol
Lil Bubba's birthday is this week too, I get the feeling these kids are trying to make me old ;) then again I am "the ol' hag" according to Suzanne rofl
"Baby fever" is getting alot stronger now, and poor ol Greg said he could hear my clock ticking now lol
I'm gonna try to squeeze in a few visits before I have to drag my old pre-historic self to bed, but if I don't make it by to see everyone tonight I will tomorrow :)
