Mornin Ladies! I wanted to squeeze in a quick post before I take 'Taye to school. It's official 'Taye's teacher is just begging to be told off lol She is still not calling us DeVoe, she is marking out the name and re-writing it after 'Taye corrects her (apparently she can't read!) lol Well last night 'Taye was getting ready to do her homework and there's this big long letter to all parents from this air-head. I got so mad I went and read it to Greg while he was in the shower! It started out harmless enough but then here's the part that got me, and I quote.."Be careful with the "southern accent" when helping in phonics. I have some that can't hear the correct phonetic sounds because they have such slang. For example, some students have used the word "thank" instead of "think". The words "won't" and "want" are also confusing." Ok now does it sound like she's just beggin for some southern lessons? I don't know where this bubble-head is from but I beg her to make 1 single comment about the pronunciations that come from this house! This has got to be one of the stupidest notes I have ever seen in my life! I know I went to school back in the stone-ages but they never made an issue out of how words were pronounced, they just tried to keep us from using double-negatives and the word ain't lol which I never out-grew either of those things ;) They had rescheduled parent conferences because of snow, well I sent miss tick-me-off a note and told her if she wanted us to come on Friday to call me and let me know so we could arrange things and be able to make it, well here comes 'Taye home almost 4pm, and there was a note wanting us there at 4:30! 'Taye told her all day you better call or they won't come! well she was right! We had other things planned and couldn't drop it then and go, I tell ya I don't think this woman has "bat's sense" forget being able to read. lol
Well I'm off to get this child to school, tho why is beyond me lol I'm sorry I have missed a couple nights ladies, I have actually been dozing off, but I am gonna try my best to make it around tonight! Have a great day ladies!!

Way to go Aretha! That teacher has no common sense. What is so hard about her not calling you DeVoe?? I can imagine what she would do with my thick New "Yawk" accent.. LOL!! Have a great day my friend. ~Hugs~

Why is she not calling you DeVoe? I think I'm lost here... which that's not hard sometimes. *hee hee*
