It's been a nice calm weekend here, we went to Wal-Mart last night and found a couple new books and a new lil car for Angela, it is so hard to find safe cars for a 2 year old but these are all plastic and can be used for tub-toys so now she can play "vroom-vroom" like 'Taye & Bubba lol We took Angela to mom's today and then we went to a book store and found a few more books and an adorable little lady-bug bookmark, hit a couple of shoe stores trying to find some Nikes but didn't find anything *sigh* then we went out to eat. We finally found a new chain, I was about to give up hope tho, we had to go to 3 stores to find one that wasn't too short. guess that's what I get for being picky lol
We started to go to the drive-in about an hour away for a triple feature but decided we both wanted to get out of our jeans and relax so we hit Blockbuster and finally found 3 movies that we haven't seen yet We started watching The Shaft, it's about an elevator in The Empire State Building and it's like possessed, it's kinda funky but it's keeping me on the edge of my seat but I had to blog before I forgot lol
Omg..I just gotta tell ya what Greg did..I went to check his e-mail for him and found out he had been sneaking to get me a graphic cd to surprise me! how sweet is that? 'course now that I know he will have to wait til I've totally forgotten for it to be a surprise lol I admit I wanted the cd reallllyyyy bad, but, I feel bad that he was gonna do that, just knowing he was planning that touches my heart so much I could just bawl lolI'm gonna head back to my movie, but first The Sunday Brunch
Let's say you just won millions of dollars in the local lottery...
1. How long would you wait before turning in your winning ticket?
As soon as I could get there lol2. What would you buy yourself first?
A ranch with preferably a Southern Plantation style house3. Would you give any to family members or friends?
My Mom4. Would you quit your job?
Naw, I'm just a house-wife and mom, hopefully Greg could tho5. How long of a vacation would you take?
At least a month, but that would be up to Greg

Rollllllllllllllllllllllll Tide!!! final score 40-17!!!! Can ya tell I'm just tickled pink ;) I wasn't sure we were gonna do real well today but talk about a turn-around we sure had one :)
The game has been my weekend so far. Greg kept me up til after 5 this morning with his snoring, grunting, kicking and rooting around, think maybe it was a mistake letting him in my bed? lol He gave Angela a bath and even went to town while I napped, he came back with a new chain but it's shorter than I want so now we gotta take it back and try again. He changed the bushings on the truck and was gonna do some other stuff but there's a storm rolling in so he had to quit, now here we sit having to wait the storm out to even hit the shower *sigh* which totally annoys me 'cause I need to get out and go find me a new book, I finished my last one and now I don't have anything to do lolPosted by Aretha @ 07:29 PM CST [Link]

Shhhh, do you hear that? almost total silence! lol the only sounds are Angela & the tv now. Greg took the other 2 to the farm since they have a long weekend, I sooo needed a break from all the bickering and whining. We don't have anything planned so far other than to watch the game Saturday, I hadn't even realized it was Bama time til Greg mentioned it the other day. I was gonna try to talk Greg into going to Knoxville, but since we're gonna be passing thru in a couple weeks I guess I might as well wait huh? lol We'll probably end up going shopping for a new chain, I think this one is trying to break and I don't want to lose my pendant so I've been whining for a few days now lol Greg is gonna work on my truck tho, something about bushings or some such mess..mechanical stuff makes no sense to me at all! I know when they are working and when they ain't and that's about the extent of my knowledge lol I used to be able to check the oil and add it, anti-freeze and all sorts of stuff but after we got married I didn't have to do all that so I just kinda forgot everything I ever knew lol
I rambled an awful lot to not say anything, didn't I? lol oh well I wouldn't be me if I did it any different ;)
It's time for the
Friday Five1. Are you going to school this year?
NOOOO! thank goodness! lol2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
um, a long time ago? lol I had to go get my class ring for this, it says '923. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
probably English, I liked history except for the tests and papers4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
Science & Math except 2 years5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
I liked most of my teachers, just a very few I didn't..My favorites tho were 5th grade Mr. Hamby, 6th-7th grade English Ms. Turner, and then 8th & 9th grade math with Mr. MoorePosted by Aretha @ 08:18 PM CST [Link]

I am so beat, all I have done is sleep! I fell asleep before 8 again last night and after Greg called I went back to sleep and didn't get up til time to take the kids to school, then I dozed off right after I got home while Angela was munching and watching tv, then after Greg got home we argued, who knows what it was about tho, then I went to bed and he went to couch lol and I went back to sleep, and I honestly can't wait for him to go to work so I can lay back down on the couch after I get the kids fed. Bradley so didn't want to go to school today, he fought me every step this morning from getting out of bed to getting in the truck, and then when I dropped them off he was fighting 'Taye on the sidewalk about putting his back-pack on, can't say I blame him tho, I'd rather go to the dentist than to school and we all know how bad I hate that lol
There were 2 notes in his back-pack today...brace yourselves...the first one I found was from the cafeteria saying, "he has charged $11.25 and is over the limit and for me to send money ASAP!" first thing wrong there was telling me to do something asap! rofl ya'll know that will only make me move slower ;) but the biggest thing, he hasn't charged 10 cents! We sent checks on both of his phase-in days, then we sent the check for half a week, and Monday we sent the check for this week, so first I asked 'Taye what was up, did she forget to pay (no notes on her monies) she swore she remembered so I hit the bank, thank goodness we can bank online now, and don't you know that each & every check has cleared!!! Greg woke up for a bit and I told him, so now he gets the priveledge of going to school tomorrow to smack some sense into these people lol Now here's the one that really takes the cake! There was a note from his teacher saying that he was pushed down today in the cafeteria, the nurse checked him and he was fine, other student was disciplined, we asked Bradley and he said it was just a mean boy, we asked why and he said the "mean-one" said there wasn't room, grrrr! he said I had ice in a bag too, ok first off if my kid is in need of ice why in the he** ain't my phone ringing?!?!? I asked him to show me where he got hurt, and he has a pretty good sized place on his back that is skinned, and was already starting to bruise! I have told the kids that Bradley is to "introduce" this boy to 'Taye and she is to make sure this child stays away from Bradley when they are together, she asked if she could beat him up! lol kinda funny they fight themselves, but nobody is supposed to do anything to him, kinda sweet that she's stepping into the protector role.
'Taye's teacher is a different story now...all the folders and notebooks that she had to take to school her teacher has informed her this week that she's "not allowed" to bring any of this stuff home! well pardon me! but who in tarnation bought it? me or miss prissy pants? um..me! 'Taye told her that's not what mommy said, and even told her I would get mad, apparently this dipwad looked at her and said "so, I don't care" hahaha, well guess what? she will definitely care after tomorrow, Daddy is having a talk with her too! rofl it amuses me cause he never handles school stuff, but I think since my blood pressure has been way up this week he's about afraid to let me handle it.
I know teachers have a very hard job, and no I wouldn't want it for all the money in the world, but this is the most idiotic school I have ever dealt with in my life!(and I'm old) I don't mean to offend anyone that is or was a teacher and I hope it doesn't come across that way, I've known several wonderful teachers, but it seems like we have more than our share of idiots nowdays.
Greg is gonna start making some calls and sending some e-mails this weekend about finding a house over in my lil dream town and at this point I'm not really worried about whether it has 4 bedrooms or if somebody has to share a room, if we can't find anything and get outta here soon there won't be any other choice but to switch schools. (unless I literally explode first)
I'm sorry for all the ranting and complaining this week! I promise I will try to get back to just regular posts, I just had to get this all out, but I won't let this mess turn my blog into a complain fest, that would just be un-southern ;) roflPosted by Aretha @ 05:54 PM CST [Link]

Have mercy it's hot! the weather page says it's still 72 and it's after 11! course add about 15-20 more degrees for the hot-flashes and you'll have a good idea how suffocating it is in here lol I had planned to post earlier and call it an early night, but Angela is sick and she hasn't been quiet long. She woke up last night somewhere around 9:30ish, she sounded like she was choking so I went flying to her room tripping on everything and nothing too, and she was sitting up in bed reaching for me, she wasn't choking it was a cough! I have never heard a cough like that in my life, scared the dickens out of me! She was fine when I had put her to bed, and changed her diaper around 8:30 so I was totally freaking out! I gave her some meds and she finally went back to sleep, but was still up every little bit, she sounded better this morning but I was worried about whooping cough (never heard it before) or something that could turn to RSV, so after I dropped the kids off I went straight to mom's to let her listen to the cough, there was no fever no nothing, anyhow she was basically fine when we got to mom's. I sat there feeling like a "new" mom, or a total idiot lol and we finally decided that it has to be allergies, I gave her some more meds after we got home, it's dimetapp, I swear by that, even used it when I was a kid lol, anyway it has that extra cough and allergy stuff added, no way was I taking a chance that it really is a cold, anyhow...she has been perfectly fine since then, until it's getting time for another dose and then she starts up again. It looks like she's gonna be like mommy, have dimetapp and benadryl as best friends just to keep from sneezin or hackin constantly *sigh* the good part is that she doesn't really mind the meds tho, she actually asks for it! but now if it's that plain yuckified cough syrup the child runs for the hills lol
On the school front..the teacher read my note, but returned it minus any comments lol, could it be that it actually dawned on her that I'm not a real nice woman? or is it respect for her elders? rofl! I gave Bradley the night off tonight and just let him play, I know I probably shouldn't have but I figure he deserved a little fun-time :) When I was fixing his macaroni and asking what he ate for lunch today he asked if he could tell me something, I said of course, having no idea where he was heading..then he said that the kids were laughing at him today, ok deep breath mommy, don't flip til you hear all of it, so then I ask how come they were laughing, what was he doing and stuff..and he said he didn't know WHY they laughed, he wasn't doing anything at all :( I haven't told Greg yet, that's on the agenda for tomorrow, I figure wait and see how things go before I get too worked up, but God help me, it's hard to be the calm quiet mom even for 1 day, my temper is just too hot I guess. My mom says I'm more protective than a bear or lion, and even worse, I'm worse than she was lol course mom also thinks I should keep quiet alot when I don't lolPosted by Aretha @ 11:45 PM CST [Link]

I am madder than a hornet! and for once I don't think I would feel one bit better if I knocked the living day-lights out of something! I got yet another note with a tone in it from Bradley's teacher today about him practicing writing his name at home. I assume this child teacher (she's younger than I am!!) is under the impression that I do nothing but sit on my fat rear and "eat bon-bons"! I have been making this child practice writing his name everyday! For pete's sake, the child has a learning disability, but apparently she can't get that thru her head, because she's nagging and he has only been to school what 6 days total?!? Why are we paying all these salaries if they ain't gonna do their dang job!?! I mean puuuleeease! not only is there the teacher, there's an aide & a student teacher in his class, not to mention all the special-ed teachers that are supposed to help him, I mean isn't that the whole point of sending him to public school? so he can learn? and because I'm not qualified for special learning skills? great day in the morning! I'm sorry to rant and rave but I am just so peeved I honestly can't see straight. Bradley is over here behind me working now and bless his heart he is so exhausted he barely knows where he is after being at school all day, and now he has to come home to his "little safety net" and I have to nag him about writing too :( I told Greg tonight that I am gonna send a note back and then if this keeps up I am yanking his butt and putting him in town! yeah, I know it means 40 miles a day again, and I hate that, but it would be better for him and that's the important part. Now that I've bored you to tears I'm off to help him get done before he nods off on me *sigh*Posted by Aretha @ 07:08 PM CST [Link]

UGH! what a weekend! It started off okay, but has went steadily downhill. Friday we booked the cabin and got my mom to agree to keep Angela while we go, then we did the usual stuff..paying bills and all that mess. Friday night there were storms everywhere! I mean nasty, yucky storms! the wind blew all sorts of tree limbs on the roof and had me & the kids on pins & needles. I fell asleep before 8 Friday night and slept until almost 3 Saturday afternoon only getting up to change diapers and fill bottles, guess the exhaustion just caught up with me. Greg rented some movies yesterday and we were getting ready to watch them when 'Taye started playing us one against the other because I had grounded her for getting an F on a paper at school, so we ended up arguing..we started watching a movie anyway from opposite sides of the room (we never do that) and he fell asleep before it had been on 30 minutes! I ended up watching 2 of the 3 and then went to bed around mid-night but didn't go to sleep until after 4am! (can't sleep when I'm mad) anyhow..enough rambling..I'm gonna try to visit tonight after I watch the last movie, or in the morning as soon as I get back from dropping the kids off.
Now it's time for Sunday BrunchHow old were you the first time you drove?
12 or 13, I think (couldn't reach the pedals or see over the wheel before then lol)What was your first car?

I am on cloud nine today! My dear sweet darling hubby has swept me off my feet today! I got gifts and sweet talk and compliments and the whole nine yards! (yep, I almost fainted rofl) He has sent me on a mission to find a honeymoon hide-away cabin! (I think he's hoping i don't pick one with a pink heart tub rofl) We never had a real honeymoon so I am a tad excited ;) I know I probably sound a bit silly, especially since we've been together so many years, but what can I say I'm a sucker for romance lol ok enough of my mush-iness lolWe had the meeting at school today and Greg was right it was so dull it's a wonder we both stayed awake lol basically all there was to it was paperwork and trying to get stuff situated so they can do the o.t. & p.t. evals. 2 hours for that simple mess lol
When we got home with the kids 'Taye turned into a total heathen! smart-mouthing, sassing, hissy fits..you name it! I swear that child drives me nuts! I think she's at that point where having a mom is the worst thing in the world, I sure hope it's only a phase and that it passes quickly or I will definitely be ready for a straight-jacket and padded room lol

Another long hot day today..I went to bed early last night but woke up at like 11 like I'd been shot and never did go back to sleep, so I fiddled around and redecorated the blog and sat and complained to myself that there's never anything on tv lol
My lil man started school full time today :(
I've been utterly lost all day without him..I dropped them off at school this morning and then me & Angela went to my mom's and hung out for a few hours, then brought mom here to get some clothes and diapers and a bottle (we only had a cup with us) so she could keep Angela tonight because tomorrow is the meeting that got rescheduled last week, after I dropped them back off at mom's I came back home and soaked in a scorching hot bath for awhile then laid down with Greg for a couple of hours, I hadn't been dozed off long when the alarm went off for me to get up and wait on the bus. Poor lil Bradley looked so tired when he got here, he looked so pitiful like it was all he could do to manage to walk in the house and change clothes, then he went straight to bed, and hasn't been back up, he looks just like he did when he was a baby, yes I had to go peek a bunch lolGreg called when he got to work to let me know they finally posted the scheduled weekends for September, and the only one he gets off other than Labor Day is the weekend of the Grand Run, we were afraid he would have to work since we made plans to go and hopefully meet some of my on-line buds :) now if we can only find a cabin we'll be all set! We have called about a ton of them and they are all booked for that weekend, we thought it would be easier to get one this year since alot of new ones have been built, but I guess that's what we get for thinking lol

Another long day here at the asylum lol I went to bed early last night and even took a nap today but the day has still drug by, and I'm still beat, I hate days like this they are more tiresome than when I don't sit down. Tomorrow Bradley starts school full time! I just hope it isn't too hard for him to adjust. I still have to get all his stuff together, and fix the new back-pack, we found a smaller one over the weekend that looks like it will be easier for him so maybe 'Taye won't be so tempted to whack him now lol
It looked like I was gonna get to do some bloggin tonight, but miss Angela has just yelled for mommy and now 'Taye just woke up and is in here pestering me..oy! I'm off to deal with these lil night-owls and hope I can get them to sleep soon!Posted by Aretha @ 08:11 PM CST [Link]

What a day! I didn't sleep a wink last night, and still had energy left over this morning, I was gonna hop on aol after I dropped 'Taye off but Angela was totally wild, then Greg came home and pestered me til his grandparents got here with Bradley, so i figured once I got the kids all fed and situated then I would have some online time..well it didn't work out that way..Angela still won't go to sleep, Bradley is yelling every two seconds for some reason..'Taye was being the calm and quiet one, and so sweet! I just sat down from going back to Angela's room for the umpteenth time and then 'Taye decides she has a question that needs answered..she wants to know why I don't work for a living! Why does daddy work and ALL I do is stay home..then she comes off with, "that's supposed to be women's work" I asked her what in tarnation she was talking about and she says that having a real job is women's work not men's! I can not believe this child! I guess I should've just been a working mom instead of doing what I always wanted and thought was best, a sahm and a plain and simple housewife.
I promise to catch up with you aol girls soon, I've got myself a note here on the desk to turn aol on now so I won't forget, I wouldn't be very good company tonight so I'm gonna head to bed early.Posted by Aretha @ 08:38 PM CST [Link]

We took 'Taye to the fair Friday night and she had a pretty good time, but the heat zapped most of the fun out of it, I swear it felt like it was 90 at 10:00! We went to Cookeville yesterday to eat and finish getting all the stuff for school on Bradley's list, then when we got back home Greg re-claimed the computers again lol he has hogged both of ours all weekend long, shoot I was surprised that he didn't have to use 'Tayes too lol he finally finished typing up resumes for a couple of the guys last night around mid-night so he'll probably have computer burn-out for awhile lol I worked on graphics quite a bit Friday & some on Saturday so with Greg using the computers I welcomed the break and spent most of my time reading or napping, now I have to play catch-up lol
I've got to wash dishes and need to cut my hair, and catch up with my blog buds so before I start to work here's my Sunday Brunch1. Did you have a nickname as a child? If yes, have you outgrown it?
I had a few..shorty, short-legs, midget, & smurf..and no, I haven't outgrown any of them lol2. Who was your best friend(s)?
Christy3. Were you picked first or last for playground games?
usually about the middle4. Were you a teacher's pet?
nope!5. Were you a bully or the one being bullied?
most of the time I was bullied, but when some of the guys thought being short was cute & funny folks stopped bullying lolPosted by Aretha @ 07:44 PM CST [Link]

Today is Bradley's first day at school, I've literally worried myself sick about him today, I'm so afraid he will get made fun of for his leg & his diapers! I so hope I'm worrying for nothing!! When I put his backpack on him this morning he almost fell over backwards lol course all 3 kids thought this was the funniest thing that could've happened lol poor ol 'Taye was looking like she was gonna beat him senseless when I dropped them off cause he was standing on the sidewalk trying to make her carry his backpack with hers! 'Taye is gonna have to go and pay for his lunch for him too cause his teacher won't accept any money for anything unless it's snacks or field trips! The list of supplies they sent home for him to bring is positively idiotic! they want 2 boxes of crayons, 2 boxes of baby wipes, 12 pencils, 2 bottles of glue (no stick!), the list keeps on going..plus a spare pair of shoes with white or clear bottoms! now what has me peeved..they money you to death all year long, but somebody tell me WHY I should have to provide for every child in that class instead of my own! They don't ask for that for 'Taye she takes pencils as she needs them, and she ain't used 12 in one year yet! Oh and get this...she brought home a sheet yesterday that says if her work isn't finished in class she will not be allowed to bring it home to finish, she will automatically get detention that day until 4! I guess they figure if our kid don't get off the bus we have to assume they haven't been injured or are missing and will show up to pick them up..this just ain't right to me! I swear I wish we could've moved before school started and got them in a decent "normal" school system!
Sorry for rambling and ranting, I'm just so tired of this county I can't see straight, you'd think I was a "move-in" instead of having lived here all my life lol
On the upside, yesterday was the birthdays, Greg got all his stuff today, we got him a new dig-cam (it's more for me than him rofl) and one of those new all in one machines with copy,fax,scan,print..it is huge, but it's cool! we had to play with it as soon as he got it hooked up lol We still have to go shopping for 'Taye's stuff tho, everytime we've asked what she wants she says nothing, or I don't care, she gets that from Greg lol We are gonna try to take her to the fair tonight or tomorrow night tho, to make up for having to be in school on her birthday. I'm sure Greg will want to eat "out", so we'll probably go to Cancun..ya know it would be so much better if birthdays could fall on weekends instead of mid-week lolTime for The Friday Five

I've been up all night again!grrrrr!! I am sooo not happy about this! lol I hate insomnia, course I'm sure I'll start getting really sleepy between 7 and 8, right when I need to be awake. I figure one reason I haven't been able to sleep is because my back went out yesterday when I tripped while I was going over the baby gate. I did manage to get alot accomplished tho..I finally got to redecorate here, ditched that stupid tag-board, updated my reads list a little, finished and added the portrait of me, did a truckload of drawing, washed some dishes, got 'Taye's back-pack all loaded up with her stuff, and finished my book. I may work on making my own tag-board tho, I found a site that has codes and such, but I gotta figure out how to get it to email me the comments like greymatter does, I love that! so til I get ambitious enough to fight with a new board prettttty please use the comments here :) thanks ladies :)
Have a wonderful day ladies! I'll probably be back later lolPosted by Aretha @ 05:21 AM CST [Link]

Tomorrow is the first full day of school for 'Taye, I think she dreads it as much as I do. I did meet her teacher yesterday tho and she seems like a real nice lady, she's probably 40s-50s so that should eliminate the air-head problem lol I finally got a call today about Bradley, they finally assigned him a teacher and she wanted to call me herself, I'm glad she did too, nobody had told her about Bradley's c.p. or the diapers, guess they were just gonna let this poor girl find out on her own! anyhow his first day is Friday, I just hope my mom can watch Angela so I can go in with him and meet this teacher.
Not much going on here today tho luckily, I worked on the adoption haven trying to get that ready to re-open and then I worked on some new graphics and decided to have a birthday blow-out sale since my sweet-pea & my baby's birthdays are on the 14th, course if 'Taye knew I called her my baby she'd have a hissy lolPosted by Aretha @ 10:06 PM CST [Link]

School starts tomorrow, YUCKKKK! I hated school when I had to go and I still hate it now that my kids have to go. They only go until 10, but I have to stay with Bradley the whole time, how gaggy is that? lol then we have to take them to the dentist, then I have to pick up Angela, my mom is keeping her but wanted me there as soon as school was over so Greg had to explain it all to her today, better him than me lol I've got the clothes and shoes all laid out, both kids had their bath, even tho doing Bradley without Greg's help was enough to make me have to rest before tackling 'Taye, now I gotta decide if I should bother sending their back-packs tomorrow, I mean why on earth would they need them for 2 hours of "teaching the teachers how to pronounce names" least that's what we did when I went lol
I'm gonna head off to bed since I have to get up at the crack of dawn! grrrr..I sooo don't do mornings!
But first....
Sunday Brunch1. What food could you eat practically every day?
the past couple of weeks I've had steak fajita nachos almost everyday, and still not tired of them lol2. What is your least favorite food?
mushroom stuff & greens! bleeeech!!!3. How often do you eat out?
usually everyday, but Greg gets it then brings it home4. What does the inside of your refrigerator look like (i.e., well stocked with fresh food, lots of left-overs that have been there for a while or looks like Mother Hubbard's cupboard)?
it's a combo of left-overs and whatever we just got at the store, nothing with stuff growing on it tho lol5. Is there a combination of food you like that other people may think is gross?
probably..rofl! I love cake with pinto beans, I know it sounds kinda icky, but it really is good if you like beans ;)Posted by Aretha @ 10:19 PM CST [Link]

Talk about a mood swing, I sure had one! I got a severe case of a cross between the blahs and being depressed. I have been so sensitive today that everytime anyone looked at me I wanted to cry, how stupid is that? Of course it didn't help that I bought a scale tonight..see not real bright! I should've stuck to my "no scales in my house" rule lol Greg is trying to get me over it bless his heart! Waymond is here now and they are over here doing all kinds of silly stuff to try and get me to laugh. They are futzing around with his computer and neither of them know what they are doing, they keep yelling for me to come show them how to do stuff, I swear they kill me lol Greg is pretty swift with hardware but when it comes to software he is totally lost. Oh..that reminds me..Andrea, I thought of the perfect caption for the graphic of Greg, "I feel pretty" rofl!!
I went to look for the Saturday 8 and it wasn't up so guess I might as well end my mindless rambling and see if I can get Bradley to bed, Angela couldn't wait to go to bed tonight, she had to have a new blankie so we found a Care Bear Bed-time Bear to match her favorite sleeping pal she cuddled up and looked so cute hugging her bear and snuggling her blankie I wanted to take a pic but she informed me "No no, Mimi go seepy" lol
Have a wonderful Sunday!Posted by Aretha @ 09:50 PM CST [Link]

Today has been relatively quiet, most of my time has been spent working on some new graphic ideas, finishing that special custom set and working on Waymond's computer. He called to check on the progress today and I told him I was in the process of cleaning my gun cause I was gonna flat shoot this thing lol when I told him everything that had went wrong today he seemed to agree that shooting it was probably a really good idea lolI've been working on like a family portrait of us for awhile now and am getting closer to finally finishing it, Angela is the hardest one to do tho, she has so many curls that she comes out looking funny in the graphic lol course making Greg & Bradley's hair a little long isn't real easy without making them look like girls and Greg's mustache is a total pain lol and now he's all offended that I didn't give him a hat, but I told him I'm tired of seeing him in a hat and I'm gonna make him look the way I want him to, but if he keeps complaining I'm gonna put him in a dress and give him warts rofl
Which reminds me.. do ya'll have any ideas where I can find a cutesy back to school set? I'm bored with this beach scene and I can't find anything that's real cutesy..
Little miss Angela has kept me in stitches this evening, I don't know what got into her but when Greg got out of the shower she wouldn't say anything to him but putz rofl! I almost choked to death on my dew when she did that, I'll never be able to keep a straight face again when I see or hear that word thanks to Andrea rofl! We have definitely got to find a new word for her to use or I may croak yet lol
It's time for the Friday Five
1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?
hmm, probably Georgia but I can't remember lol2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while traveling?
hmm..I can't really think of anything, the worst thing tho was when I got 3rd degree sun/salt burns and my body was swollen til I couldn't wear any of my clothes, Greg had to leave me in the motel and go find me some 3x clothes to get home (i was wearing small to medium at the time!)3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?
Oh my goodness, to the PM Chapel in Missouri, Florida, and if I could stand the thought of flying or a cruise probably the Bahamas4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?
CAR!!!! I refuse to get near any other transportation! yeah, so I'm a chicken lol5. What's the next place on your list to visit?
Hard to say really, we're planning to get a honeymoon cabin in Gatlinburg soon, but will probably go to Alabama first since I need new Bama gear lol a real vacation tho will probably be Florida or MissouriPosted by Aretha @ 07:43 PM CST [Link]

Ugh why am I up? I've been asking myself that question all day! It started with Greg calling this morning, I dropped the dang cell phone before I even got to answer it, then he tells me that mom just called him and wanted one of us to bring 'Taye to her house, she was supposed to pick 'Taye up here this afternoon but her dr.s appt got cancelled on her *sigh* so I had to drag myself out of bed and try to find clothes. I finally found 1 pair of shorts, who knows where the others are, probably in with Bradley's clothes that he had at the farm yet again, I'm sure they will turn up tho.
As if I don't have enough to do this week we are now playing computer repair techs. Waymond is about as dense as it gets when it comes to computers and he manages to keep his messed up lol He brought it for us to try and fix, well first the stupid cd quit workin so Greg replaced that this morning, the modem may be shot so we have one on standby. We tried to get around using the gateway disk and just do a regular ol reformat like we can on ours but it wouldn't work at all, it kept saying all sorts of .dll files were missing so we had to start over again for like the 3rd time! I told Waymond he needs a real good beating for not getting rid of this thing and getting a real machine, but since he doesn't know much more than how to surf I guess it would be a total waste lol I don't mean to sound mean but omg he just kills me he's lucky if he can keep it working right 3 months a year rofl Then again what do I expect from one who leaves a room key in the lock! lol
I'm gonna see if I can't get the kids to go to bed early with a movie :)
I miss all the blog memes (you know this-or-that & wednesday woo-hoo stuff) so I figured I'd do...
3 for Thursday1. What are the 3 driving laws you see broken most often?
speeding, kids not in carseats, and illegal turns2. What are 3 things that drive you nuts about other drivers?
not making the speed limit, not using turn signals, and not having enough sense to scoot over and get outta the fast lane3. What are 3 things you do while driving that you shouldn’t – or if you’re a perfect driver, what are 3 things you think others shouldn’t be doing while driving?
I think eating is a bad idea, I tried it once and it was the worst I ever drove. put on make-up, or try to read stuff! I don't do this stuff but the folks I see doing this are definitely some of the worst drivers on the road lolBonus: Have you ever experienced or seen a bad case of road rage?
naw, not a bad case lol I have been pretty hot under the collar but have only been tempted twice to smack somebody, once it was 2 teenage boys and the other time is was a fed-ex guy that tried to run me off the roadBonus-Bonus: Are you a “backseat driver” when someone else is in the driver’s seat? (like your significant other or a family member)
shoot yeah! lol there's a permanent dent in the passenger side floorboard from me trying to use brakes rofl and yes I will tell Greg everything he is doing "wrong" ;)Posted by Aretha @ 07:43 PM CST [Link]

More thunder & lightning again today, it got pretty rough the other night and took down several trees, to give you an idea how bad it was they ended up having to close the dang interstate in a few places due to the trees! What ever happened to that good old-fashioned southern weather that just gave ya heat strokes or drowned you with rain? lol I swear the past few years seems like it's been nothing but storms! (can ya tell it's getting on my nerves?lol)
Not much new here, I'm still busier than a 1 legged man at a butt-kicking contest! We got the pre-enrollment done for Bradley, I gave my tried and true "My son is no different than my daughters" speech twice, the second time I was pretty strong in letting them know what I thought about "special" classes, they agreed with me lol hmm..wonder why? ;) Greg didn't know whether to bust out laughing or die from embarrassment lol I gather most parents don't demand that they only mention "special" classes as an absolute last resort, I guess they are used to parents just basically saying ok, whatever..I am definitely not a "normal" mom I guess because I don't see it that way. If Bradley's condition were worse yeah I probably would just accept it, but we refuse to let Bradley think he's different based on his leg. We are waiting for them to call us back and let us know when and IF they are gonna want to do pt,ot & speech testing..to me it's simple tho..if you can speak southern and Bradley doesn't talk fast anyone can understand him lol for pt, they won't want to go there, he doesn't like having his leg touched at all, too many casts & braces I guess, and ot..well that's just totally ignorant in the first place. The whole thing just annoys us no end, but I'm the vocal one Greg's just the brawn rofl!
I'm calling it an early night tonight and hopefully I can sleep, I'm just so tired I feel like I haven't even had a nap in weeks, I have no idea why I'm so tired lately..maybe I've been thinking too much and we all know in my case that burns way too much energy lol
Have a wonderful Thursday ladies!Posted by Aretha @ 09:39 PM CST [Link]

Whew! I am so beat it's not even funny! and so far behind I'll be lucky to ever catch up! I've got like over 100 emails to go thru, see what happens when I take a couple days off lol
Ok now let's see here... The concert was woooonderful! I had a ball! Greg got some great pics too, I won't post all of them, only a couple :) It was a hoot tho, he could literally lean on the stage to get the shots and let me tell you he wasn't a bit bashful about it lol he went thru mowing down all sorts of folks to get the shots for me, the place was crawling with THP and local police but they seemed rather amused with this big ol' boy snapping like crazy and then him coming back over where I was lol
The best part of course was darling Daryle ;) Greg asked one of the troopers about sneaking me in the back lol this of course cracked the guy up when I walked over, apparently my height was comical lol, he told us Daryle would be leaving asap to hop a flight back to Texas, and told us where to go to see him without getting "in trouble" so here we go...Greg goes over and starts asking if Daryle was still in the "green room" and the guy was so stunned by Greg's size he almost couldn't answer, so Greg tells the guy, "Hey, my wife is waiting for him, how 'bout you tell him we're here" so here goes this lil guy and tells him that we were there lol Greg was afraid Daryle wouldn't remember us, but by george he did! Here he comes out the door and here I go, I wasn't the least bit excited was I? rofl I stepped over and said, "How are ya, darlin'" Greg was like you don't remember her do you? He says,"Of course! ya'll were at Lake..." (he can't say winnepesauka) I gave him a BIGGG hug ;) and Greg asked if he could get a couple shots of us together and of course he didn't mind :) 'course then Greg had to tell him how I demand every album he releases as soon as it comes out and that's all I listen to especially in my truck lol We had a decent lil visit but folks started noticing him standing around so I hugged him bye and poof he was headed to the airport. We got the pics developed on Friday, and Greg took one and had it blown up 8x10 and hung it on the wall since there was no room on the desk lol the pics ain't the best in the world, but then again I NEVER look good in pics, which is why i avoid cams like the plague lol
Now let's see...Friday we picked 'Taye up so we could head out early shopping Saturday, we finally managed to find shoes for her & Greg both, but ended up having to go all the way to Nashville, and didn't get home til almost mid-night *sigh*
Sunday was a total lazy day, I spent the day with the kids, and then spent the night finishing a new book, I couldn't put it down and read it in like 2 days..
Today Greg took Bradley to get his shots for school and now tomorrow we have to go see some idiot at the central office who will probably tell us Bradley has to go in special classes and/or go to school in town! I don't think tomorrow will be a very good day at all if they tell us that! We don't treat Bradley any differently than we do the girls, we tell him he just has "a bum leg" and that he's no different than anyone else but I know how the system is here and he will be treated differently :( they may feel differently when mommy gets done with her little speech tho lol I've made the speech a dozen times before and I doubt I will ever stop making it lol
Mercy sakes alive, I've wrote a novel here so I will post the pics now and try to make some visits and catch up, Angela is having a tough night so I may not get far.
OHHHHH...I didn't know what the definition of putz was so I looked it up lol and it's not even close to the definition we have for it lol In this house it means the same as "goofball" lol course now the definition of "putzing around" is the same as ours roflPosted by Aretha @ 09:08 PM CST [Link]

have a wonderful Sunday ladies!
