GRRR!

I am madder than a hornet! and for once I don't think I would feel one bit better if I knocked the living day-lights out of something! I got yet another note with a tone in it from Bradley's teacher today about him practicing writing his name at home. I assume this child teacher (she's younger than I am!!) is under the impression that I do nothing but sit on my fat rear and "eat bon-bons"! I have been making this child practice writing his name everyday! For pete's sake, the child has a learning disability, but apparently she can't get that thru her head, because she's nagging and he has only been to school what 6 days total?!? Why are we paying all these salaries if they ain't gonna do their dang job!?! I mean puuuleeease! not only is there the teacher, there's an aide & a student teacher in his class, not to mention all the special-ed teachers that are supposed to help him, I mean isn't that the whole point of sending him to public school? so he can learn? and because I'm not qualified for special learning skills? great day in the morning! I'm sorry to rant and rave but I am just so peeved I honestly can't see straight. Bradley is over here behind me working now and bless his heart he is so exhausted he barely knows where he is after being at school all day, and now he has to come home to his "little safety net" and I have to nag him about writing too :( I told Greg tonight that I am gonna send a note back and then if this keeps up I am yanking his butt and putting him in town! yeah, I know it means 40 miles a day again, and I hate that, but it would be better for him and that's the important part. Now that I've bored you to tears I'm off to help him get done before he nods off on me *sigh*

Oh Aretha I'm sorry Bradley's teacher has a bug....well you know what I'm getting at. LOL You are absolutley right about home being his safety net and that's what it should be. They don't need more than a few minutes at home each night. My ds is going into third grade and they usually have maybe 30 minutes a night at the most.

Good luck!!

Poor lil' guy! I can understand why you're mad! There is only so much you can do at home with your child - especially after they've been at school all day.

Blake's teacher sent home homework today. It was a little math page that took him all of 5 minutes. If you take more than 5 or 10 minutes of their after school time, you're only wasting your own time.

I can't believe they are pushing all of this off on him. He has enough stuff to deal with - writing his name will come with time!
