Well my miserable week has had a weekend to match! I have got a huge bruise on the top of my foot! We have pretty heavy drinking glasses and coordination queen that I am I dropped one on my foot when it was completely full! like it wouldn't have been heavy enough empty *sigh* so all weekend I've been a hobbling mess, and it was twice as bad when I put shoes on, because they were rubbing the bruise the whole time. This morning I was hoping to sleep really late because I had a serious migraine hit last night and it's still not totally gone, and don't you know my girls took it upon themselves to make sure I rolled out early! Chantaye was the one that actually woke me up, why you ask? no reason, according to her the ear-splitting screams were happening from her "playing" with Angela, no neither one was being hurt, they were even in separate rooms. where'd I leave the super glue & earplugs? lol My day isn't even half over yet lol I somehow managed to half fall off the couch and throw my back out! I must admit a nice padded room is starting to sound mighty good ;) I think Greg might like a room with me lol bless his heart he managed to sprain his ankle today. I asked him how he did it, and what do you suppose his answer was? yep, you're exactly right! he said, "beats the heck outta me!" rofl talk about a perfect match we sure are lol

My wonderful weather is why my online time was very limited yesterday.
I'm on a cleaning jag tonight kinda, I've got the bottles, dishes & kitchen all clean, started a load of clothes, dusted the living room, got more laundry to do, and once I get the girls to settle down then I have to vacuum (why does this look spelled wrong to me?) and then I'm attacking the bathroom, yuck! lol Yep, ya'll are right again lol I took something for my back or I'd be a useless lump on the couch right about now lol I've got a bunch of other projects planned too, I'm gonna try to make some teddy bears, I'm gonna do the cutting tonight I hope, and I've got to start working on some crochet for Christmas, and a special project, course I still gotta fit graphics in there somewhere too.
Ok enough mindless rambling, I'm heading back to work :) but first...

Has anyone seen my sanity? lol This has definitely been one week I should've crawled under the bed and stayed there! I stayed up last night to catch the season premieres, then I tried to draw, needless to say it ended up being a total waste of time and effort! I did manage to cut my hair last night while all the kids were asleep, I can't believe how much I ended up having to cut, guess it had been longer than I realized, but at least I don't look like a sheepdog now lol
This morning started off like they all did this week, cruddy attitudes all around! Chantaye didn't want to brush her hair, and wasn't real fond of me doing it, Bradley didn't want his teeth brushed, guess he figured it was pointless since one was gone lol I *finally* got them all in the truck, so here we go, the drive wasn't quite as bad as it had been this week on the way in until I got to the school, then some air-head felt obligated to tail-gate me, I'm thinking maybe she thought I needed a new bumper lol, and don't you know not a single child got out of her car! We're back on the side road to my house now, and here comes this lil red car with some young dingbat (guy) driving in my lane, apparently his tiny car needed 2 lanes where my truck only needed a field? lol I was real nice about it..NOT rofl I didn't scoot over at all, I held my half with him, I guess he figured size-wise I'd win that battle, but I got a "drop dead" look for my trouble, well this amused me so I just waved like I'd known him my whole life rofl! how mean am i ;) We get back home and Angela tells me right off she wants "the ereal & the jui juice", after she ate the cereal then she wanted some chips so here I go to fetch em, my butt had barely hit the seat til she went into some sort of tantrum and flung the whole bowl all over the living room, I felt like pulling my hair out, but i cleaned it up and tried again, and she refused to eat *sigh*
The kids came home from school and I was checking backpacks, I told Bradley to bring his nap towel home so I could wash it this weekend, it hasn't been brought home since school started!, no towel in the backpack, he says his idiotic teacher told him "you can't take it home, it has to be at school at all times", call me crazy..but who is gonna use it on the weekends? lol I opened 'Taye's folder and there was 2 more "sign & return!!" sheets with F's!!!! I looked them over to see why they deserved an F, well on one of them there were 4 questions per side and she only got 2 wrong, and skipped one, now how is she doing the math to come up with a 64? then there's the spelling test..I am not signing this one, I am attaching a note to it that I did see it, and I want an explanation as to why these words were wrong because they are spelled correctly! circle & cover are wrong, and then she has either marked break or hit as wrong, and lose or his, the way they are on the page you cant tell, she didn't x them on the word, she x'd between the words. I'm the first to admit I'm not the brightest bulb in the sign, and I didn't go to college, but any idiot could tell these are spelled right! I think this hag is just planning to fail 'Taye because she can. She had added a lil note on the weekly sign sheet that 'Taye needs to work on listening and paying attention and studying the word list, we do study the word list and she can spell each word before her tests on Friday! I told Greg I am seriously thinking about replying and telling her she needs to learn to spell and read lol I'm thinking about asking for her to be transferred to another teacher, and see if things get any better that way.
I'm sorry I've ranted and raved all week! Please forgive me ladies!!! This has just been one of those weeks where everything has went wrong.

It's official, my family is trying to see who can send me to the nuthouse first! The day started with my mom calling right before I got Bradley up, so when I talked to Greg I told him to call her back for me and tell her I was skipping the dentist today because I just didn't feel up to it, he says she sounded miffed when he called tho. A little history on why I had him call, my mom bless her heart does not know when to shut up once you get on the phone, the last time I called her while I was getting the kids ready for school we barely got there on time! and I don't want to be late getting them there unless there's a very good reason! and with the fog I really can't push it like that. When we got back from dropping them off Angela was in one of her lil moods, she absolutely refused to tell me what she wanted to eat, and refused everything I offered with a big fat, "NO! just nummies!" I finally got her to munch on some chips, and then she ate pizza with Greg when he got home.
When the kids got home from school before they even got in the door Chantaye told me Bradley was bleeding, half scared out of my wits I told him to hurry to the kitchen so I could see in the light, this is of course after he walked right past me like nothing was wrong. He had a tissue with quite a bit of blood on it and I asked him where it was comin from, he wouldn't look at me and mumbled his mouth, I made him open up and let me see, and his left front tooth is GONE!!! I could have croaked, I didn't know whether to cry or scream! I asked him what happened and he gave me the standard "I don't know", my foot he don't know! I spent about 10 minutes dragging it out of him, I swear pulling teeth on a gator would be easier, anyhow, he said it happened on the bus (no note from the driver) he said he stood up and banged into the window. Why were you standing up? eventually the answer was.."them boys had their hands up" yeah..and? "I had to make em put em down" were they bothering you? doing something to you? no! then why in tarnation did you have to do anything? "I didn't want their hands up"..arghhhhhhhhhhhhh! I've had to extend the grounding period, and he gets no special priveleges this weekend, he had been asking to go to my mom's or to the farm. What has happened to my sweet lil boy? Sneaking a crayon from the community stash since they don't have their own and making a total mess, and he knows better! he would never do that here, and now what I'm perceiving as trying to start a fight with "big boys".
Now on to Chantaye, all week she has had a smart mouth, trying to tell Bradley what to do, and then smarting off just out of the blue. When I told Bradley he was still on punishment she pipes up and asks "how do you like that", the entire week has been filled with comments like that, then on top of that she comes off with something along the lines of, guess maybe you will learn your lesson, along with several other comments. I swear she is acting like she's the mom and I'm the hired help or something. I am totally at my wits end with what to do with this child, I thought I had a few more years before her attitude got this bad, but it has started way too early. Pass the calgon and the sedatives! lol

I got a note from Bradley's teacher today, during naptime he apparently felt obligated to use a crayon and color all over the carpet! I don't even want to think about the mess..the note says they had a discussion of why this was wrong and what will happen the next time he "defaces school property", I'm not sure he can understand that, and I have no idea what the next punishment would be, he has to spend playtime tomorrow cleaning his mess so maybe once he has to clean it he might start to understand..I had to ground him again tho, and that just drives me up the wall, especially considering he just got un-grounded yesterday *sigh*
I did more laundry last night and today too, I got the pizza stain out of Bradley's new shirt tho, so I'm pretty pleased lol I swear it feels like I'm gonna drown in laundry tho..I don't get it, Greg did laundry once a week and never ran out of work clothes, but since I started doing it he always seems to be short on something, I'm convinced he must be wearing 2 outfits at a time when I'm not looking, that's the only reasonable explanation lol catching him will be the hard part ;)
I'm off to throw in one more load of laundry and then head to bed, they can just wash without me lol I know, it's terrible to be going to bed a lil after 7 but I'm just so beat I can't fight it.

The weather here is just utterly weird! We had a total flood Sunday night and yesterday, it was raining so hard I could barely drive in it, and all sorts of flooded roads around here, now today it was so foggy you could barely see in front of you, visibility was less than 1 mile. It has been getting fairly cool at night, but don't you know it is still getting so hot during the day that we have to use the a/c! and people wonder why I'm hacking myself to death and even running a fever lol I had a real bad coughing spell today and Greg got kinda annoyed I think while he waited for me to stop so I could finally finish whatever it was I had been talking about lol
It's officially fall now, but so far nobody has flannel jammies out yet! I know that sounds crazy here in September, but since all of mine had to be trashed I'm desperate to start replacing them lol besides jammie pants are so much more comfy than ol sweat pants and even my old maternity pants, which I'm ashamed to say still fit lol
We didn't really do anything over the weekend, we had planned on getting out of the house a little on Sunday or Greg was gonna work on my truck, but lil Angela got up sick and was sick til way late, and then when she did go to sleep she was up every little bit, and then bless my silly soul but the power went off about 11:30 that night and that kept her up til almost 2am :( she's lots better now tho, and has been such a little doll! Today has been singing day lol everything she has seen, heard or done has turned into a song lol she's over here singing a new song now, "I got the juice-juice, and not the milk, and the birthday, I love you tooooo" lol it's just too funny to listen to her.
I just have to share a little tub-time pic of my lil sweetie, she loves posing for the camera! she's the only one that likes it tho lol
I'm off to grab a bite and enjoy premiere night lol then hopefully I can stay awake long enough to make some visits tonight :)

Today has been a total waste of effort, I haven't felt up to doing anything other than laying on the couch just taking up space. I think I'm trying to fight off the flu or something, but who knows maybe I'm just utterly lazy lol. The kids have been pretty wound up today too, if i've put Angela's clothes on her once I've put them on a dozen times! I don't know why she has suddenly slipped back into nudist mode, she had been doing so good too, but the past couple of days she just seems obsessed with being naked. Chantaye had a scream fest and got Angela to join in too, there was nothing wrong with either one of them, guess the just felt the need lol Bradley and 'Taye have both been trying to con Greg or Waymond into turning their tvs back on for them, thinking they would just do it without asking me, they both got grounded on Friday, Bradley for lying and 'Taye for bringing home yet another F! now where is that calgon when ya need it lol
Greg and Waymond are working on the car & my truck, but it's so dark they should be heading in soon to annoy me lol
I was gonna do the Saturday 8, but since it's birthdays I'd have to tell my age and I try to never do that lol

Mercy me, where has this week gone? I have worked my tush off this week. hard to believe huh? lol I've done at least one load of laundry everyday, today I did 3 I think it was. I've weeded thru some of the kids clothes that don't fit putting them in garbage bags for Greg to toss. I've dug out some for cooler weather, it's getting pretty cool here at night now, but I'm not ready to have to light the pilots and use heat. I still have like 3 or 4 boxes to go thru, and I am sooo not looking forward to that, but since I can't con Greg into doing it guess I'm stuck lol

Ever have one of those days where the minutes drag by like hours? that's what today has been like for me, and I have no clue why. I woke up way before time for my alarm to go off this morning and couldn't doze back off, and to make matters worse I felt like I'd been run over by a Mack truck.
I got Bradley up first, just like always, and thought it would never be time to get 'Taye up, then after Bradley got finished eating the minutes literally dragged by while I waited til time to get his teeth brushed and dressed to go. Angela and I came straight back home after we dropped them off at school and we had to have our morning ritual of me trying to explain that it wasn't time for "Prollie" (Rolie-Polie-Olie) to be on, so she decided she wanted to watch "Dorothy" (Golden Girls) until time for "The House" lol
I finally felt like sitting up so I tossed in a load of laundry and had it folded and put away before Greg got home. We talked a little until he started falling asleep while I was talking lol how can men just nod off while we are in mid sentence? I put Angela down for her nap and decided I couldn't take being in the same room with Greg's snoring so I went to the bedroom to stretch out and watch tv and ended up dozing off, when I woke up I thought sure it would almost time for the bus to get here, boy was I ever wrong! I had only dozed for maybe 15-20 minutes and I've been awake ever since, I've been on the couch and in the bed both beating my fool self to death trying to fall asleep and can't for the life of me so here I sit. I think I'll go toss in another load of laundry and then go back to reading. Oh how I love insomnia..NOT! lol

Ho Hum...Home Again..
We had a great weekend! The cabin was up in the mountains and the views were so beautiful! It was so peaceful and quiet I could stay there and never leave! There were a couple of other cabins on the same road but we never saw a soul up there, it was so secluded we could've walked around outside "nekkid as a jaybird" lol course we didn't, but it was nice to feel like you were the only people in the whole county ;) I spent alot of time sitting out on the deck swinging or rocking just enjoying the view and watching all the little critters, we even had a small flying squirrel come up on the porch Saturday night to visit, it let Greg pet it a little which shocked us, I guess Greg was a little less intimidating than Smokey the cat lol Smokey kinda comes with the cabin, they say he just showed up out of the blue one day and never left. We were hoping to see some bears but we never did see any, they are pretty common there and most guests get to see them, kinda below the deck, they even have some of the possums and stuff named up there lol Anyhow, enough wildlife, well animals anyway ;) We got to enjoy the hot-tub and the jacuzzi, oh mercy such warm water! and such wonderful bubbles lol yeah I know, I don't get out much ;)
We went down to the car show for awhile Saturday, and got to see some pretty unique cars, there were several new ones there that hadn't been before, some we are still trying to figure out if they are "combos" or what lol Greg went nuts with the camera, he took like 80 pics or so of cars alone, my lil sweet-pea is definitely car crazy. Omg! I just gotta tell ya'll the funkiest one we saw...someone took a boat, yes a regular ol fishing boat and but it on a frame with wheels and were driving it up and down the strip! I almost choked to death on my slushie when I saw that lol we didn't get a shot of that tho since it was rolling while we were walking.
I've just gotta share a couple pics...I was gonna add one with me in it, but once again I almost broke the cam so I don't wanna scare anyone lol

ack! I can't believe I haven't posted since Sunday! sorry ladies! it's been one of those weeks..
To start the week I ended up with one of my migraines that starts behind my eye and makes me sicker than a dog, so mom had to come and take the kids to school for me, and took Angela home with her..after that we were hooking up the dryer and thought everything was fine, used it a couple times and everything, well bless my silly soul, I could smell propane, I was the only one that could smell it, but don't you know we had a dang leak! propane in general makes me sick to smell it so you can imagine how much sicker I got after that leaked all night! it was such a small leak that it couldn't be found thru the usual way, Greg ended up having to do something different to find it.. I went to the dentist Wednesday and got another filling, then yesterday I was having major sensitivity to cold, we nagged them to death yesterday morning, but they say it's normal after all the work he did, course it could be coming from another tooth, but they didn't have any openings yesterday or today, but it hasn't been too bad today so far... Greg has gone to pick up the kiddies and his grandparents are on the way to get them and then one of us will take Angela to mom's and then poof we are outta here lol
I apologize for not replying to emails and not blogging! I haven't touched the computer other than to work, Greg has been downloading mail for me so I will try to get some replies typed up while we are away, while he's having a snore-fest lol I'm not sure if I'll be able to get online tho, at this point there are no local numbers, but I *might* be able to use the 800 numbers.
Oh, btw...I haven't heard from Claudia about her dad! if any of ya'll have heard anything please let me know ok?

Oy! what a weekend! Tonight is the first time I've actually gotten to sit down for more than 5 minutes, and for once nobody is pestering me to death either. We had to strengthen the floors in the kitchen and Bradley's room, do water lines, drain lines, move the hot water heater and then we set about installing the washer! this all of course came after the sort and trash and moving stuff to the barn to make room. We've got the washer all done and even used it like 4 times already lol course Greg had to go to the laundrymat to dry the stuff today, the dryer should be here tomorrow tho. I don't mind laundry too awful much as long as I can do it at home, I admit I'm a little flustered tho, the dryer ain't an electric dryer, it's propane! got me so nervous just thinking about it I could use some sedatives lol
I've got to finish a special custom then I'm gonna take a small break and make a few visits and then it's back to work for me :) I've set a deadline for myself so I've got to *try* and get the last of the customs done tonight & tomorrow.

Here it is almost 1 am and i am still awake! I went to bed before 9 again tonight, just like last night, but for some idiotic reason I can't fall asleep. I figured since I'm up I might as well get some blogging done, I've made quite a few visits and have a few more to make, I've been awful lately about not visiting, and then when I do visit like a moron I forget to tag until I've done closed the window *sigh* reckon I might as well admit I'm senile lol
Let's see here now what's new at Aretha's Asylum (think this makes a better blog title than Adventures?) Chantaye has the crud already, she fell asleep on the floor right after she got home, then she got up and asked for covers cause she was cold, but didn't want to go to her bed, when she woke up again she felt feverish, and then wouldn't eat anything, just went to bed :(
Bradley has had temper tantrums for no apparent reason since he got home, he's in such a snit he wouldn't even tell Greg bye when he left for work. I'm thinking he might be sick too since he refused to eat, just wanted something to drink and to be left alone.
There have been lil spats with Greg for the past couple of days now, and I still honestly have no idea what they were about! I swear I think he must have PMS or something! (pathetic man syndrome rofl)
I'm usually the crabby one, but dad-gum he's got me beat this week, things went pretty well over the weekend and we enjoyed being together just as us not as mommy & daddy, course he did go to the farm Monday and his grandparents always put him to work, and now that I think about it his mood did change after he was there, course they are famous for flappin their jaws and saying stuff that ticks him off, but he won't tell me cause he knows I will have to say something lol
I went and picked Angela up from mom's today and her husband showed up before I could get gone, long story but we don't get along well. I was filling mom in on the truck and all that good stuff and we were talking about the tires they are ordering for me, it's some AT's for like off-road. Her idiot boy (hes in his 50's I think) has to tell me "you ain't supposed to run them on a 2wd" grrr! I told him that's what I'm sposed to run if that's the ones I want lol he comes off with, "Greg won't get them, he'll get "women tires"!" OMG! I could've killed him right there, poor ol mom knew what was coming then lol needless to say I lit into him and I didn't stop til I had told him off properly, then he starts mouthing about our yard needing mowed, why this is his business is beyond me! I told him well, my man works for a living so if you don't like it go mow it your ownself and shut up! rofl Mom was rolling then, she gets a real kick out of listening to me fuss right back instead of just sitting there. I know this makes me sound like a real hag, but you'd have to know him, see he's about useless, he doesn't work full-time, doesn't take care of my mom right, and thinks she's supposed to be his maid or something and do everything for him, mom is pretty sick & disabled, she tends to just sit and listen to him, instead of yelling back, she can control her temper better than anyone I know, so I guess I feel like I'm getting in enough fussing for her too lol While this man drives me up the wall and back again, nothing either of us ever says is taken too seriously, it's just the nature of our relationship I suppose lol
Oh, I just gotta tell ya about Angela, she was eating and watching tv and the new Charmin commercial came on, and as soon as she saw those bears she started singing the "cha-cha" song lol cracked me up since this commercial doesn't have the song in it unless it's at the very end.
I reckon I've rambled long enough here, hope none of ya'll have nodded off reading this lol

Rain, Rain and more RAIN! There have been flood watches flying around like crazy for days now! and last night they say there was hail and all sorts of stuff going on down around Nashville, we got lucky tho the hail part must've turned or something because it didn't hit here.
Today started out as a rather yucky day, to start with my brakes were acting all sorts of weird, sometimes going all the way to the floor, and with the wet roads it sent me into a skid three times, and as I tried to stop at a stop sign they were so slow about catching that I didn't think they would catch and I got about half-way out in the road with an 18-wheeler bearing down on me, luckily there was nothing in the north bound lane so thankfully he managed to swerve around me, I was headed to the shop to get an alignment and stuff anyway so I went in and grabbed one of the guys and had him go drive with me, he was only doing about 30 so the brakes worked fine for him, I told him you gotta beat this to see what I mean lol I told him to floor it, I don't poke when I drive, I haul! so he kicked it up to about 60 and sure enough when he hit the brake it went "spongy" as he called it, even tho he thought I was nuts they went ahead and did some sort of adjustment on them and now I've got a nice firm pedal that stops at the top where it should! I swear men never listen lol
Today was dentist day, which I was sure was gonna be a total nightmare! I went in figuring on a root canal, but when they did the x-ray he said he could fill it! I was jumping for joy! well as much as I could be jumping being about half-lit on the gas rofl I told Dr. K I bet he just loves to see me coming, I'm probably the biggest coward he sees, and he said no there's actually a big ol boy in his 30's that's alot worse than I am, so now I don't feel like a total chicken lol I've even got an appointment for next Wednesday at 8 to get more fillings as soon as I get the runts dropped off, I just hope I can get mom to keep Angela so the girls at the office won't have to baby-sit, course they all think that kid is the best thing since sliced bread lol they say they seldom get comic relief and "Angela's just a hoot!" rofl
I've got a bunch of customs to work on so I best get back at it before my buddy has my head for moving so blasted slow lol
