All is quiet here at the asylum for a change. There isn't alot to tell really, I get the kids up every morning put them on the bus, nap until Greg comes home, then we talk or play a video game and play with Angela. Angela and I nap and watch tv while Greg sleeps and then the kids come home I get them fed, do homework when they have it, and they are asleep instantly! I have to wake 'Taye up every evening to go to her own bed, this week tho I've had to wake her up to do her homework! She has been stretching out on the floor with her snack to watch tv while she munches and then the next thing I know she is snoring away. I don't think any of us are really used to the schedule yet, but I do know they are resting more and I am sure enjoying a little peace and quiet. I doubt I will have much peace and quiet tomorrow tho, I had Greg make a drs appt. for me, so my day will probably be spent sitting in a waiting room with Greg snoring on one side and Angela going nuts on the other. I'm heading off to bed here in a few 5:30 comes way too soon for me.

Are ya'll ready for a nice long entry? I hope so, because there's lots of catching up to do.

Greg and I left last Saturday, July 31, for a cabin up in the mountains. We didn't stay in the same one as last time because that one was booked, but the new place was pretty cool. The major differences were the view and a pool table, well I whipped the pants off him at pool, I'm still in shock lol the table seemed lower than most because I could actually lean to make a shot. The view at this one was ok, but I think it would've been better if maybe the leaves had begun to fall off the trees, everything is still so thick up there it was hard to get those gorgeous long distance views I love so much.

We went to Dollywood on Sunday and rode almost everything there, well ok we rode everything I will ride lol the lines were the shortest they have ever been so we didn't have to wait much, and those few times we did wait it was no more than 5 or 10 minutes. When we got back to the cabin the owner dropped by to make sure we were happy with everything, he was a really nice guy and he came in and visited and had a drink with us.

We had a pretty good time while we were up there just relaxing and goofing off. We headed back on Monday and picked up all the kids and I spent the night doing laundry.

We loaded up Tuesday and headed to PA, we made it all the way into PA before getting a room at around 4am PA time, and finally made it to Greg's mom's house sometime Wednesday afternoon.
When her hubby got home we finally settled on pizza for supper since his mom didn't feel well, so here we go, Greg, myself & Dave, to grab the pizza and some more ice for our cooler, and omg the traffic was awful! and we were maybe 2 miles at the most away from their house, shoot it took us a good 30 minutes to make what should have been a 10 minute trip!

Thursday we headed off for some shopping and finally found 'Taye some normal pants. We grabbed a couple of pair of hip-hugger/bell-bottoms because we were running out of options, we decided one more stop and that's when we got lucky and found the good stuff lol the h.h./b.b. pants would get her sent home from school so you can imagine how tickled I am with the normal pants. I suppose I should explain why those pants would get her sent home..they added a new rule to the dress code last year that if the waistband of underwear can be seen when you sit down (even if they raise your shirt tail to look) then those pants are unacceptable, 1st time you get sent home, 2nd time you are suspended etc. anyway, with the h.h. pants you could see the band of her undies when she was standing up, so I don't even want to think how they would've been when she sat down.
I got side-tracked again didn't I?..anyway...
I noticed as we were driving up that the further north we got the worse my accent got lol It makes absolutely no sense to me, but I tell ya I was full hick by the time we got there..I won't even try to explain it but Greg was getting a kick out of it lol
While I'm talking about such things..ya know when there's like a loop you have to take to get from one place to another..you know where you can't make a left hand turn, you have to turn right and then follow the loop..well get this..they call that a "jug-handle" up there. We asked this lil guy in a store parking lot where a restaurant was and he said well you know where blah-blah is..yeah...ok go there and then take the jug handle and you can't miss it.. Now with me being all hick-ified you know I was more lost than the average person might be..I can't even imagine how I looked at this kid, and said, "What in tarnation are you talking about? a jug handle is something you hold when you want to pour something!" apparently this was funny for some reason because he busted laughing at me, ok fine so I'm good for a few laughs, now answer me lol when he finally finished his long drawn out explanantion, yes he dumbed it down way too much, I was more than happy to inform him.."honey, that's a loop, not a handle" rofl
side-tracked yet again...anyway moving on...

We left Friday morning and started that long journey home. Greg was pretty quiet for a good 100-150 miles, his mom got kinda upset when we were leaving and that got us both all choked up, but he was holding alot inside. He still isn't saying much but I know he's still hurt, upset and offended because his sister didn't come by, said she wouldn't be home for us to visit, and didn't even talk to him a whole 5 minutes on the phone! I admit I am pretty upset by it myself, but I'm more hurt and mad for him than anything. I don't know maybe it's just me, but seems to me it would be more important to visit with your brother than going to a damn bar! I won't go into all that here, but I think the girl definitely needs to get herself together instead of leaving her husband and daughter home all the time while she finds any excuse she can to be gone, whether it's to the bar or flying off someplace for some silly-ass reason. I'm sure ya'll don't want to hear all that tho..so moving on..

We stopped off at Cabela's, omg that place is huge! the kids loved it tho, they have all sorts of animals in there, lions, tigers and bears oh my! lol it was pretty cool, I lost count of all the deer they have in there..I don't think I've ever seen taxidermy done so well! I mean most of the animals looked like they were just gonna start walking around any minute.

We stopped off somewhere in Virginia, I can't even remember where now lol and oosh! it was cool! everyone still went traipsing down to the pool tho, they almost froze to death for their trouble tho lol I ended up having to take Angela & Bradley back up to the room while Greg & 'Taye toughed it out awhile longer.

I am going to try to get myself back on a diet again, on the way to the pool I was told that since nobody else was in the pool there would be room for me to get in too. I don't know if I look like I would cause all the water and people to fly out of the pool because I step in or what, but it makes you feel awful to hear that and makes you want to get back to "bean-pole" size. I didn't think a size 7 or 9 was that awfully big, but apparently that's what I got for doing my own thinking again...

Enough of this mindless chatter, I've written a dang book here, so I'm off to play some more games and try to think up new graphics & layouts so I can get some web work done soon.
