Mercy me it's hot! I was beginning to wonder if I was ever gonna be able to say that other than my hot flashes lol
Just a real quick post today..gotta grab a shower and get Angela ready and then head to my mom's for birthday dinner and then she's keeping Angela tonight so we can have some US time and maybe go out. We just have to go out! pinhead hasn't gotten me a present yet, unless you count saying I'm a year older than I actually am a gift, course this lil comment will cost him rofl
Can you believe I actually posted everyday this week? me either ;)

I actually went for a drive today lol Greg's car messed up on him last night and he took it to a new shop today, and I had to pick him up. The new place is almost to the county line on the opposite end of the county so it was a pretty long drive out for me. I have to admit I enjoyed it tho, that end of the county has the best view of the mountains and it's not even like you're in Crossville anymore when you get out that far. Angela had a ball too, she got to see lots of "hoses"(horses) and "me-mews"(cows) lol course while we were driving thru town she got all excited over the "ig ig tucks"(semis) and she got to serenade me too lol Blake Shelton's song, "The Baby" is her song so when it came on she got pretty wound up lol
We still haven't decided what we're gonna do tomorrow, other than go out to eat, I'd love to get out of the house and have some "us" time but with Greg working tonight I kinda doubt he'll be awake enough to do much of anything, maybe he'll surprise me tho lol course whatever we do we'll have lil Angela, the other two are still at his grandparent's farm, and don't want to leave lol
I'm off to do a little housework and call it a night. Just in case I miss some visits have a wonderful weekend ladies!

It's been your standard duller than dull day here. I didn't sleep again last night, and have only had maybe a 30 min. nap today so I am really draggin now, but I wanted to squeeze in a quick post before I try to doze off. I did quite a bit of drawing last night and have done a bit more today, looks like I need to make myself stay awake more often lol *thinking out loud* wonder if they make candles for relaxtion to help you wind down like that bedtime baby bath stuff..
Greg had to go get another new battery for his car today, it was still under warranty so that's a good thing, he says his next one will be an Interstate, that's what's in my truck and to our knowledge it's the same one that was in it when it rolled off the lot.
It's time to grab a bbq sandwich and then head for bed extremely early (ya'll cross those fingers that I can sleep lol)

It's supposed to storm again tonight with possible hail and damaging winds, like I need another sleepless night. I didn't sleep at all last night, just as I was heading to bed I started hearing an awful racket that sounded like screams (over by my truck) ol Bear was going nuts and was in his protect and attack posture so I spent the night sitting here with my gun *sigh* I am one of the grumpiest people alive when I don't sleep so needless to say everything Greg did or said today ticked me off and got me started telling him off lol bless his heart, good thing he's used to my moods and doesn't get upset with me when I get like that.
I spent hours cleaning my kitchen last night, scrubbing everything I could see, I had to do something with all the extra adrenaline, and yep I even exercised a little I was so wired.
The new book is pretty good, tho I must say the way it is written annoys me a little, I like a book that gets on with it instead of using phrases like, "a town that will be called Salamander here", why not just say in the town and be done with it? lol
I managed to visit all my reads tonight, even the ones that haven't posted in ages lol, now the only things left are to do a little exercising and then reward myself with a nice looong bubble bath and call it a night (hopefully). A funny thing about my exercising...Greg asked what had me on this sudden weight kick (shows how much he listens lol) so i told him how everyone online is dieting or exercising and stuff, and I get the usual, "sure I'm listening nod" I thought ok let's see how much he's paying attention, so I toss in there, "when I grow up I wanna be skinny" he almost choked on his breakfast looks over at me and says, "yeah, right, you are never gonna grow up" lol this from a 30 something year old that still plays with and collects hot-wheels! rofl

I bet I know what ya'll are thinking, "she's posting three days in a row, what's this world coming too"lol I'm determined to start blogging more, let's see if I can remember lol
I've been trying to find some EASY exercises to do, but haven't found very many so far, I know I sound like a big ol wimp but it's a long story why easy ones are the ones I can handle. Have any of ya'll tried this pilates stuff? It looks fairly easy and they say it gets real results, but before I fork out any cash I wanna know if it really works or if they are jerking my chain lol Andrea (my inspiration) would be so proud of me tho, I finally managed to do 15 sit-ups :) (major accomplishment) we won't even think about how long it took me to get up outta the floor tho rofl
I've gotta do dishes,yuck!!, then I should put away some laundry, but reading is sounding more appealing lol I picked up A Thousand Country Roads over the weekend, and curiosity is killing me wondering what actually happens between Robert and Francesca in those between years that were left out of Bridges of Madison County.

It's been a rather dull day here, and is so quiet now I can hardly believe it, Greg went back to work tonight and I hate to admit it but I miss his snoring, well, while I'm awake that is lol. It looks like our vacation plans have changed yet again *sigh* at this point we are going back to PA again, we went last year and I am soo NOT looking forward to going back this soon. I hate going up north, and hate his mom's boyfriend with a passion but I think we should go since she is beginning to have health issues. I guess we never stop and think about our parents getting ill ya know..kinda like we take it for granted that they will always be around, now my mom is having serious problems and borderline stroke and now Joyce is having tests for heart problems. All of Greg's grandparents are still alive and never cease to amaze me, my own grandma lived til she was 83, and now our parents are ill in their 50's..I admit it has me puzzled.
Hmm, let's see now what can I tell now to bring a smile.. ahh yes, the weekend with Greg ;)
We were on our way somewhere, who remembers where now, but anyhow.. he is obsessed with blowing the horn at people lol He saw a guy up the road on his riding mower and decided this was a good candidate lol he was hoping to see the guy bump into his house with the mower,get off take a peek and then resume his duties pulling his hat even lower on his ears while turning beet red lol he scared the dickens out of this poor guy but he did manage to miss the house, but he did jump pretty good lol

yep it's raining again, it was coming an absolute flood aroud 3 this morning, I only know this because a certain someone was snoring so loud I couldn't escape his noise even on the couch!
Remodeling update..the tub is in!!! woohoo! and functional lol it took all day long! they barely finished up at 10 last night. The new wood is down on the floor and he just did the "filler" stuff to get it ready for the linoleum, got the new pipes on the sink a few minutes ago too. We hadn't planned on it taking so long yesterday so we didn't even get close to the walls, the plan is to put up new sheetrock and then paint or paper or paint and border or something, but it will be awhile before we are totally finished because he goes back to work tomorrow night and they are gonna be lucky to get off every other Saturday. I'm not gonna complain too much tho, cause I'm just proud as punch that I finally have a tub! lol since it's not our house I'm not in an all fired hurry to make it all perfect ya know.
We went out to eat again tonight and one of us ate way too much and even went ahead and had a big ol brownie with ice cream..hmm wonder who? lol see, told ya'll I eat more On the diet than I do off. I'm gonna be like Miss Scarlett tho and think about that tomorrow lol. I did manage to visit almost all of my blog buddies tonight tho, I just realized I missed a couple but that had to be when he was on one of his many trips in here asking me this that and the other. I've gotta go sweep up yet another manly monster mess lol then toss the clothes in a basket so he can do laundry, hmm guess he does come in mighty handy at times huh? lol

shh, listen very carefully...do you hear it? SILENCE! lol Greg's grandparents came and got 'Taye & Bradley today and Angela was ready for bed before 7 so I'm finally getting some much needed "down time". Tomorrow Greg goes to pick up the new bathroom stuff and I have to make up my mind if I want paint or wallpaper, there's some wallpaper in there but it has got to go! lol it must be as old as I am ;) I got some really pretty seashell paper about a year ago, but since we're taking out the big wall cabinets and all that good stuff there probably won't be enough paper. *sigh*
I had so much I was gonna write about but now that I'm sitting here my mind is completely and totally blank lol ya know it's a wonder I remember my own name anymore ;)

Yuck more rain! I'm not gonna complain too much as long as it doesn't turn to storms. Today is the last day of school, part of me wants to jump for joy and the other part wants to head for the hills lol I haven't been sleeping lately so maybe I will be able to catch up a little after today, but I'm afraid 'Taye will get so utterly bored she will drive me batty even tho she has nagged for weeks not wanting to go to school, Greg is gonna run her to pick up her report card Friday morning, so this will be my last drive for awhile. I've only been sleeping an hour and a half max at night so yesterday morning I was scrubbing the kitchen floor around 4:45, and I'm still paying for it. This house is real old, we've been told almost 100 yrs old, but we don't know, anyhow we never changed the linoleum in the kitchen and no matter how long i spend on it I can never make it look as clean as it should, I know it's clean tho so guess that's the important part huh lol I told Greg when he called on his way home from work how long I had spent in there and that if tracked up my floor I would beat him 6 times a day whether he needed it or not ;) needless to say he made sure he didn't make a mess lol I've been a total grump with him, I'll sit and give him "the look" or grunt/snort for no reason lol wait til he starts talking and tell him to shut up I ain't interested if he ain't ready to say he was wrong I was right and he's sorry lol I am happy to say that it's starting to work.
Thanks for the help on the weather minis! I'm tickled pink that I can finally use them :)
I've got to get myself back in gear and start exercising! I can tell a small difference in my jeans, they're not as tight as they were, BUT! now the bad part... folks that have seen me in my sweat pants or shorts seem to think I look pregnant again! I got so ticked about this I could've screamed, and still could, I've looked in the mirror, turned in all sorts of positions except standing on my head, and I don't see it, so I'm either gonna have to live in jeans so it's masked lol or get tough on myself. I am terrible at dieting, seems like I always eat more on the diet than off *sigh* and my mood is alot worse, as if it's not bad enough rofl Now that I've said it I'm off to actually do it! I'm gonna grab a few minutes quiet time to exercise before getting the kiddies up, cross your fingers for me ladies cause I so hate moving ;)

Free to any home 1 complete and total idiot!! Heck of a lead-off huh? lol I am so aggravated with Greg I can't see straight! The day started off reasonably well I suppose but it went downhill fast! We talked about the re-model project, he is doing it this weekend which is ok cause I keep forgetting they have changed when Memorial Day is, anyhow.. he's putting in a bath-tub this time instead of just a shower, guess he finally got tired of listening to me. I asked what we were doing the following, the weekend of the 31st, "I don't know, why? what's that weekend?" grrr! I changed the subject before I totally lost my temper. We had the vacation discussion again, yippee, NOT! lol he promised it would be my choice this year, but he just up and says, "Oh, didn't I tell you?" Tell me what?!? "I'm planning for us to go to Florida" gee, thanks for asking dear! I want to go back to Florida, BUT, I am allergic to the sun and always end up with severe sun-poisoning, I couldn't fight it then I had to tell him off or bust! now mind you I told him 3 weeks ago that getting a honeymoon cabin or chalet up in Gatlinburg was something I would like to do. His next idea was St. Louis, he even says we can make a very quick stop at the Precious Moments Chapel and then be wherever in a motel that night! I finally told him to just shut up, I was not having this conversation now and if he fools with me he will be on vacation by his ownself! The next thing I know he is telling me that he completely forgot to order my birthday present but he has time, well duh moron, the deadline to order was the 15th it's too late now, I told him I would just take the cash lol he's still trying to think up an argument on that one. We finally got finished with all this wonderful conversation mess and were sitting on the couch together and don't you know he had to step in even deeper. The alarm clock is on the coffee table and idiot boy reaches over to set it but instead he apparently thought it would be funny to make the alarm go off right in my ear! "to see you jump" he says. Can we say death wish? I was so mad I was crying then, and blast it that was dang loud! course he finds this terribly amusing, which made me madder which made me cry more, and he dang near laughed his fool self to death. Sorry bout all the griping and moaning but I had to vent.
I've been trying since he went to work to figure out how to get those lil weather mini's to show at the beginning of each post but I haven't been able to yet :( How do ya'll do that? Do you just like paste the html for it in the main entry text box at the beginning of each entry? complete and total air-head I tell ya. lol
Bradley has been wild today, non-stop tantrums for no apparent reason, sassing, refusing to answer when he's spoken to, basically anything to be rowdy. I knew it was gonna be one of those days when he fought me putting his shoes on this morning, which isn't a real easy job in itself since his right leg is affected by the c.p. He apparently felt obligated to see how many times I could change his diaper today too. He will wear pull-ups and go potty all by himself when he stays with Greg's grandparents but when he's home sometimes we can get him in a pull-up but he absolutely will not go potty *sigh* the dr.s had said he might never outgrow diapers as a result of the cp but I am getting more convinced that it is related more to a behavior problem than anything.
I soo need a "me" vacation lol

It's been a nice calm boring day so far, and with any luck that won't change lol Greg is passed out on the couch totally exhausted, poor thing he had to work last night and had overtime every day this week, he's so tired he's not even snoring. The kiddies have been relatively quiet today too, Angela has been the loud one, which is definitely odd, 'Taye is tuckered too, I couldn't get her to go to her own bed til around mid-night for some reason, so she's been in nap mode today. Bradley is totally into cartoons, they all watch boomerang and today it's been like a pac-man marathon or something and he's finally decided it's a nice change of pace from the usual stuff thats on.
I've been on a house/property search today and it's pathetic how few houses there are available in the towns we want to move to, and the ones that are available are too small *sigh* I'm beginning to wonder if we will ever move..shoot even the land is slim, there are like 3 pieces (where I want), 1 is across from a bunch of goats, 1 looks like Grizzly Adams will hop out, I'm country but not that country, and the last is over $100,000, and call me crazy but I'm not ready to fork out that much just for a piece of land that looks like a forest.
Oh, Greg did wake me up to tell me that we are gonna put off Atlanta for a few more weeks grrr! He has decided to completely remodel the bathroom, now you watch him do it Memorial weekend, and if he does he is putting his health in great danger, that's supposed to be "my" weekend. I swear it's a miracle I ain't beat him senseless yet lol I honestly think his goal and purpose in life is to annoy me! Course I admit he does come in mighty handy for reaching stuff on shelves and ahem..parellel parking, at least he ain't backed into the house yet, but that's a whole other story rofl
It's Southern time ;) A couple of the words I use a dozen times a day are reckon, and yonder, so here's a lil phrase for ya. "I reckon he's over yonder in the paw-paw patch." Ok now reckon is somethin right close to "figurin" or assuming lol Yonder can be as little as 10 feet away, but generally means out of sight, and paw-paw patch is just another way of saying the field, pasture or garden. lol

Ugh more storms, at least we had a break for a few days, I've already had to shut down quite a few times this evening. Not alot going on around here today, I've got a hideous migraine that feels like my head will explode everytime I breathe. 'Taye brought home a note from the airhead teacher today about field day, we are supposed to pack their lunch and give them concession money, but if it rains it will be cancelled and she will let us know..what's she gonna do sit and call everyone tonight? lol Greg called the school and they said the note was wrong we don't have to pack the lunch, it was supposed to let us know we could send drinks and snacks if we wanted. 'Taye told us the lunch lady told her she needed money today and shouldn't be charging her lunch at all! Greg is going to the school tomorrow to talk to them and find out why they have a problem now, all her checks have cleared and we've always sent it on Friday..guess they figure this close to summer break they feel the need to annoy as many folks as possible lol
Here's a question for ya'll...If you could go anywhere on vacation, that didn't involve a plane, where would you go? and if you want to tell, why?
When I was younger I always said I wouldn't talk as "hick" as I do I would make myself use better english, but as ya'll know I didn't quite manage that lol
Tonight's word is "wasper" lol this word causes a large amount of annoyance lol My dad's son compares this to finger nails on a chalk-board lol sometimes wasp just doesn't tell the whole story tho.. When the bee is terribly close to stinging you or you have been stung wasper is the only word that fits ;)

Chantaye is getting more like me everyday! She has finally decided this week that she is sick of school and has complained about it non-stop lol Every morning poor kid asks, "how much longer til I can stay home and not bother with those idiots?" rofl I always hated school! shoot I was a pro at thinking up new and mysterious illnesses to stay home, you know the ones, no fevers,you don't feel hot, you don't look too rough, and there's no visible signs of illness, but you say you feel like you should be in the hospital rofl 'Taye has always liked school so I'm not sure what the sudden change is unless it's because she knows it's almost "quitting time" and she's just impatient, wonder who she gets that from? lol
Thanks to everyone for the sweet and encouraging comments and for offering their ears or shoulders! I swear I'd be totally lost without all of you! I think I have figured out why my mood has been like this so long tho... kinda hard to put into words and have it make sense, but I'm gonna give it a shot.. Ever have a friend that was so much more than just a best-friend, but more like an extension of yourself? Then something happens and that bond is broken and you end up feeling like a part of you is missing.. you want to do or say something to try and change things, but you have no idea what to do or say, and of course part of you thinks maybe it's best to leave things alone...That is what is so wrong with my mood! If ya'll were to look up stubborn,pig-headed or dense it would say to see me lol It helps a bit now that I know why I'm so "blah", the hard part is deciding how to handle things and where I want to go from here. Enough of that tho...
We have only 9 days left til school is out, and Good Lord willing, the creeks don't rise, and we have babysitters we wil get to take 'Taye to six-flags, leaving on the 23rd. It's gonna be kind of a mini-vacation for me too (I hope). We've been hotel "shopping" on-line and have it narrowed down to a couple, course I can't remember the names of em, but one has that rotating restaurant on top. I'm almost ashamed to admit this tho, I've actually got Greg calling and asking if these places have net access in the rooms! I am NOT addicted rofl
Time for our southern language lesson ;) while looking at new vehicles some time ago I sat down behind the wheel but could not see over the hood, this irritated me, so I got out and said "I need my piller" the idiot car salesman looked real goofy and asked what that meant grrr. Greg couldn't say anything for laughing so being me I informed him that I wasn't referring to the "pillars on a mansion" I meant the kind you lay your head on to sleep! I got the perfect reaction, he turned beet red and said "oh, you mean a pillow" rofl

All is quiet here in Aretha's Asylum, and let me tell ya I'm enjoying it! before the kids get up is the best time to have a little me time. I basically spent mom's day alone, everyone came dragging back in shortly before Greg had to get ready for work and they were all half asleep and asking to go to bed.
The storms hit again yesterday morning, on the south end of the county where my uncle lives, the south end has been hammered by tornados the last few years, seems like as soon as folks finally get done re-building they get hit again.
I'm sorry I haven't been a good blogger like I used to be. Things have been pretty dull here which is normal, but I've been depressed or something for quite awhile now. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna get back to normal blogging but I can't seem to get motivated, maybe a lil dynamite would move me, reckon? lol I've been thinking alot about closing my graphic site, but I can't seem to make any decisions lately,things just seem pointless these days. Sorry for the rambling it's just been one of those weekends and my mood is about a -2 and I needed to get a little off my chest.
I'm off to a hot date with a pack of cookies and a book. Have a great Monday ladies!

What a weekend! So far it has been pathetic! I'm actually looking forward to Monday, unbelievable I know. Not too much to tell really...Chantaye brought a note home the other day and they've rescheduled field day because of all the weather last week and they've rescheduled water-day too (whatever that is), but the new date for water day is August 29!?!?! the people at school really worry me..either they can't type or they honestly don't know what month this is lol Then again what can I expect from a school that had us thinking the kids had to be there on Saturdays when it was only a "special detention" for a few kids.
I watched Sweet Home Alabama yesterday (again lol) and had the perfect idea for a "southern lesson" ;) The phrase "Putting on the dog". What does it mean? (greg still asks this) It means we would've knocked ourselves out cleaning the house and gettin ourselves all "gussied up" lol
I'll be spending Mother's Day alone tomorrow so I will come and visit everyone then. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

I just finished visiting all my blog buddies! I'm so proud of myself lol We won't even think about how many times I've had to shut down because of the storms but I was determined ;)
I haven't slept to speak of since these storms started Sunday night so if I don't make sense please overlook me. School is starting 2 hours late today so luckily Greg will probably make it home in time to drive 'Taye for me, I have a hard time seeing in the rain and now that there's so much flooding I'm honestly afraid to drive. (big ol chicken lol) We are one of the few counties in TN that are actually having school today, which annoys me no end! guess I should be thankful they cancelled yesterday tho.
I've been doing ALOT of reading lately and Greg is definitely having a ball with this lol, I love those suspense-mystery-murder novels and he seems to know when I'm really into the book and am oblivious to anything else in the world except what's happening right then..and don't you know he picks that exact moment to scare the living day-lights out of me! The little brat got me so good the other day when I jumped the book went flying! losing my place and everything rofl I keep telling him he's gonna do that one time too many and I'll use what I've learned in these books to "off him" but for some reason he thinks I'm funny lol
Ok, I'm in a real goofy mood here but..there's something annoying me! (this is what happens from watching too much tv) The word is vase! now I pronounce it v-ace..have you ever noticed how the word changes depending on the price tag? like if it costs more suddenly it's a v-aahhhzzzz! then if it costs in-between these 2 it's a vaaze? or aunt some say it "ant" and others "ahhnt" stuff like this just drives me batty! I am the first to admit that southerners have their own language but it's not that strange is it? I mean like nekkid, that's used everywhere..but does everyone know that "haint" is the same thing as a ghost? hmm maybe I should try and do "southern language" lessons? ;) lol see told ya I was on a goofy mood..think I need some sleep lol

It has been non-stop storms since last night. I dozed off for maybe 10 minutes last night and woke up like I'd been shot, and still don't know why. Greg called me a few minutes later and told me that tornadoes were down and running all around the plant, alot of the guys vehicles were battered by the hail pretty good. I never did go back to sleep and I've been up all day today and the storms are getting worse again. I hate storms but tornadoes scare the living day-lights out of me especially with Greg at work so far away. The lightening is getting alot hotter now so it's time to shut things back down *sigh* stay safe and have a great Tuesday ladies!

I finally finished the new look..I've been working on this for ever it seems..'course I'm sure I'll change it all back soon, you know me never satisfied lol
Not much to tell on the computer situation, we haven't made any progress to speak of so we just kinda ignored it this weekend.
We went to wal-mart Friday night and Angela was a hoot! Greg loves to try and sneak up on me no matter what I'm doing (total pest lol) we were in the car at the red-light and I was trying to get a drink, well ol slick manages to sneak his hand thru somehow and poke me in the ribs (I am majorly tickleish) well here goes Mountain Dew everywhere and me sitting there sputtering trying to recover and tell him off, Angela yells at him from the backseat.."Hey, Greg! Act your age!" I absolutely rolled lol She then proceeds to tell him off for a good five minutes telling him he's mean and to leave mommy alone lol the look on his face was priceless rofl Wonder where she gets her attitude? lol
After we got home she got her first haircut, Greg thought sure she would move and I'd mess up but she sat so still I couldn't believe it. She wanted me to rock her to sleep, since she never lets me rock her anymore I got all excited and was happy to oblige :) just when I thought she was getting ready to fall asleep she raises up and starts petting my face and says "Close eyes, go seep mommy" ok what the heck lol I closed my eyes and bless her heart she starts singing real quietly "seepy mommy,nighty night,loves you mommy, so tight" this of course brought on a major crying and hugging fest from me (still tearing up) needless to say miss Angela was up very late Friday night lol
When I was finishing up the graphic changes she finally saw what I was working on and started yelling "ooohh boggy" lol guess maybe she missed it as much as I have ;) so I decided to just open a couple of windows right quick to see if we could get any names out of her, soon as she saw the header on Andrea's blog, bam! it worked, "Dea" she says lol so we hit a couple more but all I could get out of her was "Fait" and then she was done with me lol I've got her saying "Leigh" for Carleigh now tho so we are making a little progress :)
I'm off to try and get my sweety to bed so 'Taye can "read in peace" lol If I don't make all the rounds tonight I will finish tomorrow :) Have a wonderful Monday ladies!
