Woohoo it's finally Friday! Greg is off this weekend so we are planning some "us" time. He just left to take the kids to visit with mom for a bit and she will be keeping Angela this weekend, and then his grandparents are coming out to get 'Taye & Bradley, there's no school again today because of snow so we are getting everyone settled early.
We haven't really got much of a plan beyond going to Knoxville for some shopping and eating at The Olive Garden, I've got a real strong craving for some Sausage & Peppers Rustica. I don't know which I'm looking forward to more, the food or the shopping lol
I had planned on going to get my hair done today, but I'm going to wait and make sure I don't change my mind lol I was only going to get it cut, and hold off a few weeks on getting it colored, but I hate getting a haircut so bad! everytime someone gets near my hair they go all scissor happy on me and leave me with no hair, course if I lose more than 1-2 inches I feel bald anyway lol
I had actually planned on posting yesterday, but I was not in a very good mood to be honest, I was told Wednesday night that my blog is and I quote, "so very boring"..well duh! rofl life as a sahm & housewife isn't all that thrilling ya know, but geez louise you don't go around actually telling people they are boring..maybe it's me, but that's just bad manners, or "unsouthern" as I call it. I have decided to try and brush it off, because I don't do this to be exciting, I do it for me and to share a part of my life & myself with my friends, so yeah I may be boring and I may do more than my fair share of mindless rambling, but hey at least I can laugh at myself ;) Well enough of that, I'll get off my lil "irritated box" and head off to finish my book so I will have a good reason to hit the bookstores tomorrow lol

We are supposed to get another blizzard tonight. They are predicting sleet and then 6 or more inches of snow on top of that! I so hope they are wrong, but I reckon I'm ready just in case they are right, I've got books, munchies and Mountain Dew so I'm as prepared as I can be lol
I went to the dentist as scheduled the other day but I am still in pain from it! I've barely been up since then, the whole left side of my face is still giving me fits, everytime he gives me a shot in one certain area of my mouth I pay for it for about a week, so needless to say he is not one of my favorite people right now lol I did get to tell him to shut up during my visit tho lol I got a little sick while he was waiting for the shots to kick in, because I hadn't been able to eat, anyhow, he walked by and saw me with a wet washcloth so he asked Pam, "what is she doing now?" so she told him I was sick, well the goober made some comment about "her & her weak stomach" so I just sat up told him to shut up and go torment some other innocent soul and I'd let him know when I was ready to be bothered rofl ya know it's not many dentists I could say stuff like that to without getting kicked out or something but Dr. K and Pam seem rather amused by my outbursts and just laugh at me and go on with their business, thank goodness the man has a sense of humor huh ;)
Well since I've missed doing the tattle for several weeks now because I'm such a sorry blogger I figured I'd do it a day early in case I'm totally useless again tomorrow lol

Whew what a weekend! Where to start...
Thursday night that same crown came loose on me, but it didn't come completely off so there was no way I could get in on Friday. I've worked my buns off all weekend with graphics and stuff so that's kept me too busy to eat much which kept the crown in place lol I was sick all day Friday so I didn't do any eating then either. The kids have been so crabby too! I swear the worse I feel then the worse they act, even though they kept it up when I started feeling better *sigh* I've got laryngitis now though so maybe that explains it because they know I can't yell at them, I'm basically stuck with giving the evil eye ;)
I've fallen further behind on other things tho, I still haven't got the stamp page updated, I've got a truckload of emails to reply to, and I'm still drowning in laundry. I did a ton of it Wednesday or Thursday night, I counted 12 pairs of jeans but don't you know when Greg got ready for work tonight he didn't have work jeans? Now tell me where did all the pants go? Is he wearing more than 1 at a time or is some other giant sneaking his britches in the pile? lol
I'm off to try and find something soft to eat, the stupid crown popped while I was eating earlier, it still isn't off tho, thank goodness! but tomorrow I have to go to the dentist and it will be a verrry long day because he has to redo all the molds and all that other mess *sigh* oh joy not! lol

It's been a long day here. There was no school again today, which I think was a good thing because my little man is still running a fever and I don't know why because he's not coughing or anything. He was fine last night felt cool all night and then around 3 this afternoon he spiked again, poor lil guy I even had to bribe him to get him to take something for the fever. I'm sure there will be school tomorrow and I honestly don't think I should make him go, but I'm sure he will want to go anyway, he's a tough lil guy!
I've been working on changing the look of the blog for several hours now and I just can't get the layout to look the way I want it to, but I'm getting closer lol I honestly hate html! I need a quick an easy way to change stuff, but guess I'm just too dense to find it lol I finally got St. Pat's graphics tho and the good thing is if I get bored with them there are enough graphics that I can change it a dozen times and still have plenty from the same collection left over, and truth is I probably will end up changing it more than once too because I must admit I'm not real fond of green ;)
Well enough of my mindless rambling, this old senile soul really needs to drag on off to bed so I can get up early and find out if there is school tomorrow or not. Have a wonderful Thursday ya'll!

The blizzard of '04 hit here Sunday, the last measurement I took here at home was 11 inches! and it kept snowing after I measured, but I just wasn't curious enough to go back out again lol Sunday was a pretty rough day for me, Greg & 'Taye went into town and before they could come home the 2 main highways to get here were closed down! there was only one on-ramp for the interstate they could use, and that of course sent them an extra 15 miles or so out of the way. Greg made it to work Sunday night tho, my crying and begging and pleading couldn't make him stay home, but chances are he would've been laughed at for the rest of the year if he had stayed home, because once they got like 40 miles away from here there was no snow anywhere! now how kooky is that?
There was no school on Monday because of President's Day, and then none today because of all the snow, we are still waiting to hear about tomorrow tho, turns out we now have a woman as superintendent and she has said on several occasions that if there's less than 4 inches there will be school! apparently this woman is a "move-in" and doesn't know how we generally do things here lol
It worked out pretty well that school was cancelled tho, the dentist office had to reschedule the kids appointments for today so they both got their teeth cleaned, and they both have cavities according to the hygenist, of course this is the same woman that said Greg had like 3 and turns out he didn't have a single one! so as you can imagine I'm not putting alot of faith in what she says until the dentist actually does the looking and such.
With all the snow and such I've spent alot of time drawing which is good, now I'm having to slow back down tho, I swear the tendonitis, arthritis and minor carpal tunnel is really beginning to make me feel about 100 years old, and that of course makes me start thinking about my birthday, and how old I'm gonna be. Ok enough of that mess! I'm gonna end up spoiling my good mood here lol
Good news on the Valentine's Day front tho lol My sweet lil man brought me several surprises on Sunday, turns out he thought it would be funny to make me think he wasn't getting me anything other than the roses lol I think he ended up feeling pretty bad because he didn't expect me to be hurt, he figured I'd just laugh and tell him it was gonna cost him lol anyhow..he got me this adorable little shirt, well ok not so little lol, that says sweetheart with Betty Boop on it, a cute lil white clip-on teddy bear that I actually have clipped on to my laptop, and 2 beautiful bracelets, he had ordered some new dvds for me too that I didn't know about and when he checked the mail on Sunday boom there they were :) I guess maybe I should learn to be a tad more patient with my sweetpea huh? ;) lol
I've been doing some thinking about making some changes to me lately, I know I go thru this from time to time, but I think my soon to be age is playing a big role now lol What do ya'll think about me going blonde? I know this probably sounds pretty strange coming from me but I can't make up my mind if I should or shouldn't and well to be honest Greg is absolutely no help in this lol everytime I mention it he gets that "oh no here she goes" look and just says whatever you want to do. Please give me your honest opinions ladies! (I can get Greg to take a pic or try and scan one that shows my real hair color if we need it)
Enough of my yammering here, I need to get to work adding some new stamps, sorry ladies! and reading and replying to emails, I've avoided outlook like the plague since that virus mess so I have a serious backlog, and I really need to visit ya'll too! Course I need to try and find some St. Pat's graphics, but I really hate to take down these pretty little angels too..oh so much to do and so little time, well at least until after NYPD Blue ;) rofl

What a week this has been! I had my week all mapped out, and had planned to accomplish so much, but once again everything got rearranged for me *sigh* Tuesday Greg's grandma brought his grandpa out to the hospital and he was admitted and then she came to spend the night here, and wouldn't sleep in a bed she slept on the couch, which is where I usually stretch out on school nights, anyway I was up all night and all day, I didn't get to lay down until Greg left for work so I was asleep by 7 Wednesday night, so there was 2 days messed up. I didn't get to go to the dentist on Wednesday as planned because Greg needed to go to the hospital to try to see his grandpa's dr. and there was no one to watch Angela while we split and went seperate ways. Thursday his grandma was supposed to come and spend the night here again, so Greg took a night off work so he could take her to the hospital early enough to see the dr, but she called at 4:30 p.m. and had went home! so basically he missed a night of work for nothing *sigh*
Greg brought me roses today tho which made me feel a bit better :) He says, "I didn't know what else to get because you didn't tell me what you wanted" ok first..where has this man been? lol I've hinted for ages and even flat out told him what I wanted for Valentine's Day, and when he told me he had to work tonight I know I've told him 5 times since then what I wanted since we had to change plans, but yet he didn't have a clue? I don't know if he had his selective hearing turned on or was just in idiot land, I think he does this to annoy me.
This evening before he went to get ready for work we were playing around, just basically acting silly and me being the ever so coordinated one fell over and landed flat on my back! and let me tell ya it wasn't fun at all, it took forever to get up out of the floor and so now here is yet another night ruined because all I have felt like doing is laying on the couch with my faithful friend the heating pad! I tell ya I don't know if there could be a bigger klutz in the world than I am! I need a vacation big time don't ya think?

Is it just me or are Mondays the worst day of the week? I was working on a project around 3am this morning and one of my stupid temp crowns fell right off! Boy was I mad!! I was so afraid the dentist would just tell me to run to Wal-Mart and get some of that temp dental glue stuff because I have an appointment Wednesday, but we got lucky, they called Greg back and after talking over the sleep schedule they said I could come right on in at 9. I am gonna have to have a new temp made for the one that came off tho when I go Wed., this one is "wearing" too bad because the lab messed up the permanents *sigh*
My little man turned a whopping 7 years old on Friday, I told him he's making mommy old before her time, and for some reason he found this rather amusing lol They cancelled school here on Friday so he was pretty excited about getting to stay home, I think he thought it was like an extra gift lol
I've got about 750 loads of laundry to do, and I sooo don't want to do them! I just did 4 loads of colors, and 2 loads of towels on Thursday, where does all this stuff keep coming from? If I didn't know better I'd swear everyone was wearing at least 2 outfits at a time lol I guess the reason they all run out of clothes before me is because I wear sweats, jammies and such instead of jeans, except on weekends. ah well, enough of my mindless chatter I hear the washer has stopped so it's back to work for me, I'm so good at finding other things to do instead of dealing with laundry ;)

Welcome to flood country! Have I mentioned how much I HATE rain?!?! omg it has not stopped raining in a couple of days now! it is just sickening. To give you an idea how bad the flooding is here, I had to make a quick trip this evening after 5, we left something in Greg's car that we needed so here I go off in the pouring rain, when I hit one puddle on the passenger side the water came up to at least middle way on the hood & windshield! So the weather here definitely fits the saying "not fit for man nor beast". I'm just glad that I have a truck that sits up ya know, I honestly don't know how some of these little cars can go thru there and not be flooded or hydroplane. I really don't think my "driving nerves" could handle driving a car again.
We had to go to town today and get tires on my truck, yep I finally got my "4 big mud tires" rofl I'm a true red-neck I reckon ;) I picked the tires out a few months ago and told Greg that's what I wanted for Christmas, well among all the other stuff that is lol today was the day to get them tho, he noticed how bad my tires looked yesterday, he didn't realize they were that bad before, and don't you know that I have rubbed it in that I was right and he should know when to listen to me by now lol We took his car to the shop and left it too, on the way to work last night they got about oh say 30 miles from home and he lost his dash panel lights and all tail lights, he only had brake, signal and headlights, all caused from the car catching on fire from the stupid remote start, so now we have to get that all tracked down and repaired *sigh* the really crappy part tho is the guy that did the remote start and stuff didn't want to refund any of the money at all, but finally did and now he doesn't want to be responsible for the damage that was done.

It has been a mighty busy and fun weekend! Let's see now, where to start... I guess I can start with Saturday since there's not much to tell about Thursday and Friday, except they cancelled school on Friday, and Greg's grandparents met him in town to pick up 'Taye so we could go shopping for the birthday stuff.
Saturday morning baby Angela woke up sick so after we got her tummy settled and saw that she would be ok I took her to my mom's, because I knew she wouldn't feel like a long car trip and then traipsing in and out of all the stores. I came back and we loaded up with Bradley and headed for Nashville. We took Waymond with us again, because the game system he got down there 2 weeks ago stopped working Saturday morning.
We hit the shoe store first to return the pair of shoes that Greg got me that was too big and had planned on getting another pair of them in the right size but they didn't have any *sigh* so we ambled over to the kids shoes and finally found Bradley a pair of Nike that fit real well! so that had us off to a good start :) it is so hard to find shoes that fit him well, so we were pretty happy then. It was time for ToysRUs after that, and I was in major shop mode lol we ended up getting the kids about 10 dvds or so, using some of the gift card money, and of course I had to search thru the toys for the birthday gifts, and of course they were out of stock of what we wanted *sigh* Target was next on the list, we returned the shoes we got Bradley a week ago that were too big, then toys here we come lol I finally found Angela a Rainbow Brite doll, they had the big doll which was a major no-no because she refuses to play with anything bigger than she is, she tells us "garbage" if it's too big lol I spotted a pack that had Starlite (horse) the doll and her little fuzzy friend (can't remember his name lol) and it was on sale for the same price as the poseable doll so of course I had to get that since the child adores horses :)
I got her a baby back-pack too that has twins and a bear too, she has been asking for a big backpack like the kids use for school, but those things are big enough to put her in lol so this was just perfect and it will actually fit so she can wear it. We headed for the "boy toys" next, and I swear we spent more time there than any other area in the store, guess that's what I get for having Greg, Bradley & Waymond all there huh ;) Bradley finally picked out his toys, I honestly have no idea what they are rofl I know one of them has "little people" like the fisher-price kids or whatever, it's some kind of track thing lol how awful is this? I admit I know nothing at all about boy toys! Next it was off to the mall for food and Waymond's return and a rest before I hit more stores lol
I had the guys carrying stuff and complaining and mumbling, "Ain't she ever gonna be done?" rofl I just couldn't help myself tho, I think maybe I need to visit shopper's anonymous or something ;) I got some more books, big surprise huh ;) lol I found some things for a special friend out of state, I won't say who or what, cause that would totally ruin the surprise :) The last stop I made was at yet another toy store, where I found all kinds of cool stuff lol We found another singing Boots for Angela, and the little Dora backpacks, so we got 2 of those for a special little boy's birthday, Bradley cleaned up on cars, he was in total car mode I think :) Greg got a couple of super soakers for us rofl but dang I had no idea those things would sting so bad! (yes he got me good!)
We got a few little Barbie & Kelly things for 'Taye, but I can't tell much since she is floating around in here and they are being put up for a surprise. We are trying to break the habit of everyone getting gifts on each birthday, and Bradley will get the stuff he picked out next weekend on his birthday. I tell ya all these birthdays together is making me an old woman fast! lol
I had asked Greg for a Game Cube, but I wanted to wait til they came down or we caught them on sale, well we found one! It was the last one in the store and it was a pretty good deal so now I finally have my Game Cube, and that's what I've been doing tonight is trying to figure out some of the games we rented. I don't want to buy the games until I try them out and see if I like them ya know, course we already know there's one of the Mario's we rented that we don't want, it is one of the most annoying games we have ever played lol
Enough of my rambling! Needless to say this was a very good weekend! tiresome, but goood :) (just gotta love a man that doesn't complain when I spend that much rofl)
